8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. - Acts 1:8.

What is the power you receive from the Holy Ghost? Jesus said when the Holy Ghost came into this world in a different role, if you will, than his previous roll - up until that very specific time (Penecost). What is going to happen to believers and why. What is it believers need as Christians - that is what we can call them now - because that is what they were called (first called Christians at Antioch) in the book of Acts as followers of Jesus Christ.

First; look at the Old Testament way of the Spirit of God that came upon people for a particular time and reason - reason - task. You can use any of the particular passages of Old Testament scripture and see how the Spirit came on those chosen to do a particular task. He came upon them - but in the new outpouring there was going to be a dwelling, the Holy Ghost was going to dwell in man as man would be baptized in the Spirit. Which means they would be immerged in Him like they were to be immerged into Christ.

Things were changing - everything in God that had been known up until that time, was to change. The change was to be dramatic and nothing like He had ever done before. Never had He dwelled among men before, and then as Jesus said He (the Holy Ghost) would lead would lead them and guide them into all truth. He was going to teach them something and what He was going to teach them could be known from the time He would come upon them to lead them. The Holy Ghost was going to be very active in His particular roll as a paraclete (one that goes along side) to dwell and instruct in the things of God. He would be an active teacher. Have you ever noticed how you can feel Him and then times He seems to just slip away and not be found. You cannot feel Him like you did and you wonder what is going on - I used to struggle with that. Especially in the Pentecostal Denominational realm of understanding - alot of feelings involved and emotions - very expressive.

He is elusive - at least that is what feelings tell you. You can have mountain top experiences and valleys in same day, so to say. So elusive is the word I use - wherein Jesus said "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

So what a believer can come to or at least what scripture says is; "you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you. So we must conclude that the power of the Holy Ghost is; to teach you 'Christ' just as it is written in scripture. He does not come on man like He did in the Old Testament for a particular task (other than Christ' revelation). He was poured out on all flesh (meaning He came into the world as a paraclete for humanity) to lead them to Christ - draw all men to Christ and then guide them into all truth (to see Christ - reveal to them Christ as life - that is the power seeing Christ' in you because he is your strength in my weakness), that is THE POWER of God that came upon mankind. The world is covered by the Spirit of God. The day Jesus spoke of was coming to pass on a particular day that was called Penecost (meaning 50 or 50 days after the death burial resurrection of Jesus Christ the Savoir of the world), Penecost was to take place.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. - John 14:20.

For a knowing' - look at what you are supposed to know. You are to have a particular knowing' (revelation - Holy Ghost teaching and revealing) and in that knowing' the power for life would be in the revealed life of Christ' in you the hope of glory! Glory to God! For He hath done great things hallelujah!

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: - Galatians 1:15-16.
