Are you familiar with the singer?this was my Dad's favorite song
this was my Dad's favorite song
um what is wrong with the song?We sang that hymn at my mother-in-law's funeral. We sang it at my father-in-law's funeral. We sang it at my dad's funeral. Our organist played it (instrumental only at my request) at our son's funeral. I don't have the best memories of that song.
But if John MacArthur took the time to blast it in one of his books as being emblematic of what's wrong with the modern church, it can't be all bad.
Besides, Ms. Walker has a lovely voice.
There's nothing wrong with it. I can remember singing it as a child in the 1950s!um what is wrong with the song?
In the garden
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear
Falling on my ear
The song of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am his own
And the joy we share
As we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound
Of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody
That He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am his own
And the joy we share
As we tarry there
None other has ever known
And the joy we share
As we tarry there
None other has ever known
