And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; for in him is no sin.

The Bible records followers and disciples of Jesus as being called Christians. It was meant as a slur, like a bunch of little Christs running around always doing good.

But God takes it as a title of honor for His Son's brethren.

The point of course being that Christians in the Bible are Christ-like. Not just sort of, but always like Christ. That is the good news promise and commandment of God, to become His pure born sins and walk as His Son walked.

And so, how is it that Christians teach 1 John is telling all Christians to confess we all have sin in us?

Afterall, since there is no sin in the Son, and the new pure born sons of God are in Christ, then how can we have sin in us, while also in Christ?

If there be sin in those in Christ, then there is sin in Christ.

And they are also not pure born sons of God, because then there would be sin in the Son and the Father, giving birth to unclean sons with sin in them.

Biblically, it is impossible to be in Christ, in whom is no sin, and have sin in us. Just normal grammatical sense makes that a self-contradiction. If there is sin in us, and we are in Him, then there is sin in Him. This is not possible, because the Bible says there in no sin in Him, therefore there can be no sin in them in Him.

I say we Christians ought preach this gospel of Jesus Christ, where them that repent of sinning and believe with the heart unto Jesus' righteousness, are now become pure born sons of God in Him, in Whom there is no sin.

In this you judge yourself, in that you are not sinless.

If you'd like to explore together the real meaning of being "In Christ" we can look at that together.

Much love!

If there's anything in the teaching you find correctible, then do so. Otherwise, I'm not interested.

Let's begin with what it means to be "in Christ". Your statement is that no one who is in Christ will have any sin "in them". You don't define your terms, but from other conversations, I'm thinking that you mean the person who is "In Christ" does not commit sin. This is correct?

Please confirm so I know we are on the same page.

I want to start with this passage:

Romans 6:3-13 KJV
3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7) For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Among many things this wonderful part of Scriptures teaches us is that having been baptized into Christ (Spirit, not water) we are freed from sin. We are released from the dominion of sin.

And the apostle goes on to admonish us to not yield our members to sin, since we are alive from the dead, so we should live that way.

Your presupposition that the person who has been baptized into Christ immediately ceases from all sin is not matched in the Bible. This is one of many places, and we can look at as many as you wish.

Here's another,

Ephesians 4:23-25 KJV
23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25) Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Here we are told to put on the new man, created patterned after God, so we are to stop lying, and to speak the truth.

The common thread here is that since we've been freed from sin we should stop doing it.

Having become a new person, we are to stop lying to others. No more lies.

Much love!
