The bat was still in shrink wrap as the guy had just bought it.
A policeman physically wrestled with the guy and a few more cops showed up as backup. The guy was peppered sprayed too.

The incident is shown starting about the three minutes mark on video.

I guess they can prop it up next to the TV as they veg and watch identifying with their favourite players. :Happy:

This lawyer is talking about taking the guy's case pro bono since he was assaulted by police. @Armour of God @Riven
I think it would be ok for a police officer to question someone carrying a baseball bat in a city street so he could determine the legitimacy of the situation. It seems as if the officer went straight for physical action rather than polite, respectful conversation.

Yes, the bat was still in shrink wrap. And I think the guy kept telling the cop he had a receipt that he just had bought it.
