Has Yeshua finished fulfilling everything.I have a question that I not seen asked or answered. I believe the answer to my question is no. God is not finished yet. Is the work of Yeshua finished? Does he still have things to do regarding the plan of salvation and prophetic revelation that get finalized and fulfilled by His second coming? Do Scripture still speak of future events post Cross that relate to the work of God edifying man? Why do Christians say the Torah and Prophets are passed away?Mt 5:17-20 17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled Heaven and earth do not pass away until God combines the two in to a new Eternal Kingdom reality. Hence, somethings still have to be fulfilled. Meaning some others things have not passed away either according to Yeshua. Mr 13:4 - "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?" Yeshua gives a whole sermon about six pages total concerning events surrounding His second coming. He describes heaven and earth passing away as they are now.Luke 21: 20-24 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. There is stuff that still has to be fulfilled in the Scripture. Why are Christians saying Christ has already fulfilled everything. He fulfilled everything up to the cross, then went to prepare a place for us indicating a need for fulfillment. Why were the disciple told to wait on the day of Pentecost for a work of the Holy Spirit. If the Torah had passed away by His death and resurrection then why would tell them to observe Pentecost and wait for the promise. Does this indicate that God works according to His Holy Days? Now what else has to be fulfilled? Most Christians see getting saved as the end goal of Yeshua's work. It is not the end of salvation, but the beginning. Now we have to be made a disciple of Yeshua, prepared for the commission, and finish our destiny all the way to glorification. How can this be done without a compass?I ask this out of curiosity. I am not trying to preach a message eventhough this is what I believe, because I will not respond back. I am preparing a message. This allows me to focus my thoughts and studies. I have been corrected by a lot of good spirited saints.
