Politics is increasingly dividing the church, families, and beloved brethren.

Could this be getting out of control? Democrat Christians argue you can't be a true Christian if you vote Republican. Republican Christians are arguing you can't be a true Christian and vote Democrat.

Could our politics be becoming our actual "religion"? Could politics be becoming an idolatrous thing among Christians?

I don't believe politics is becoming any true Christian's religion.

At the same time, there is no question that ever since Obama took office, politics has become very polarized. And ever since Trump took office, the Democrats and Left-Liberals have become even more radical and are promoting Communism (while avoiding that word). So this polarization is affecting Christians undoubtedly. Left-Liberal policies are actually anti-Christian (e.g. promoting and funding abortions) but a lot of Christian have not woken up to that.

On the other hand. true political conservative values do reflect Christian ideas (e.g. the State is not "god"). But the number of actual conservatives (in power in Washington) had been going down until Donald Trump took office. So the Establishment (which is also the Swamp and the Deep State) is fighting back by undermining Trump daily. But the rank and file voters who supported Trump are solidly behind his agenda and what he is accomplishing to "Make America Great Again".

I believe the political platforms divide largely on the two items below, this is no secret.

Republican's have traditionally opposed items 1/2 below, Democrats support.

1.) Abortion, and killing the unborn.

2.) Homosexuality, and same sex marriage.

Is it worth dividing on the two issues above?

Absolutely 100% Yes, as my Holy Bible opposes both items.

I had to go beyond the "Like" :)

Every word you state I agree with, Trump the Billionaire Can't be bought, as the Swamp/Deep State Establishment and the Liberals oppose making America Great Again!

One good thing is Justice Kennedy Should Be Announcing His Retirement Soon, And It Looks Like Another Conservative Appointment For A 5/4 Majority.

The Liberal Agenda Is Unraveling Like A Ball Of Yarn In A Wind Storm.

Roe v. Wade (Abortion) and Obergefell v. Hodges (Same Sex Marriage), "Reversed" soon!

Yes, these issues should be brought up in church more often.
I agree!

The rainbow flag churches are trying desparately to become the religious voice for America.

Trump, although imperfect, has rolled back the Liberal Agenda 20 years.

Soon we will see justice Kennedy retire, another conservative appointment for a 5/4 majority, then the Liberal agenda will be dismantled in a mater of 3-5 years.

Roe v Wade, Same Sex Marriage, Can't wait!
