Please no!

Not another insider, elitist, politician owned by big money interests.

We already have the best politicians money can buy.

This guy is from the good old boys club that fights against every conservative, constitutional, Republican who dares to stick his/her head up.

There is no real difference between Republicrats and Demicans.

We need to get the Tea Party out of the Republican kennel.

This is why the yanks need another choice at the polls.

No confidence.

That way you have all your officials removed and an immediate election is held.

There are other choices besides Jeb and Hillary.

There's Scott Copeland, Ken Cross, Marc Feldman, David Holcomb, Steve Kerbel, Darryl Perry, and several others to vet.

Why just stick to the media favorites??? Don't buy the hype!

Because the electoral process is based upon a small, elite group that meets to choose what pool the candidates can be chosen from.

This is called a caucus and is the foundation of an oligarchy.

I understand your disdain for today's electoral college which creates an oligarchy because the process has been perverted from its original intent. Electors were supposed to be prominent and trusted citizens from each district in a state, not party leaders.

Partisan politics have a choke-hold on our gov't. We are disenfranchised by their monopoly in elections.

A straight popular vote for the POTUS just as dangerous. Candidates could disenfranchise smaller states by simply campaigning and winning in only the larger states.

But I don't blame the politicians for allowing this perversion of the Constitution though. I blame those who elected them without a proper vetting.

"When a citizen gives his suffrage to a man of known immorality he abuses his trust; he sacrifices not only his own interest, but that of his neighbor, he betrays the interest of his country." -Noah Webster
