Jeremiah 1:4-7 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Romans 8:29-30 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.

The elect are "formed" while mankind is "created." The elect are formed to be the elect, the man child, before birth in this life. To Calvinist that believe only the elect are saved we see that Jeremiah, one of His elect as are those of end times, was chosen for a purpose. They are ordained to prophesy, (speak as inspired by the Holy Spirit) to the NATIONS. Why, if not to share His light with all others? To be a prophet is not only foretelling future events, as did Jeremiah, but it is to speak as inspired by God in revealing the spirit of His words. As Jeremiah was hesitant about speaking....so was Moses. Both, are our examples of the man child....the very elect of end times. They shall do as He commands, go where He sends them and speak what He commands.

Exodus 4:10-13 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

14-16 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

That is a picture of what Paul taught.....

1 Corinthians 11:1,3,7-9 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. (3) But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. (7-9) For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

As the Lord spoke to Moses, Moses and God taught Aaron. As Christ speaks to the man (man child/elect), the man child and God teach the woman (the church). The man child/elect is formed but the woman/church is created for the man child to teach the words of the Lord as Divinely inspired or...the spirit of the Word.

1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

apostles - a delegate, an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ (with miraculous powers):
messenger, he that is sent
.
prophets - inspired speaker
teachers - instructor

Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

Jeremiah and Moses obeyed, as will the elect of end times. Their purpose is to fight the deceiver and his deception with God's truth which brings others to the Father....

Jeremiah 1:8-10 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put My words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

In further instructing Jeremiah in the same chapter...the Lord said.....

Jeremiah 1:11-14 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten My word to perform it. And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

The fruition of the almond tree is what the Word hastens to perform. It is that rod that the Father uses against the evil out of the north. The elect verses the antichrist.

Almond - It is curious to observe, in connection with the almond-bowls of the golden candlestick, that, in the language of lapidaries, almonds are pieces of rock crystal, even now used in adorning branch candlesticks. The flowers are in pairs. ~ Smith's Bible Dictionary

Almond # 8247 ~ shaqed; from 8245; the almond (tree or nut; as being the earliest to bloom): - 8245, to be alert, i.e. sleepless; hence, to be on the look out (whether for good or ill): - hasten, remain, wake, watch (for).

Ecclesiastes 12:5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

In the street of the great city Babylon (not Jerusalem or Rome) are the mourners... the many "two" witnesses wearing sackcloth (mourning clothes) because the grasshoppers, (Satan's locust army), are spiritually killing many. They are the almond tree that shall flourish. They are the the rod of Aaron, the firstfruits, "earliest to bloom," that keep watch as many have their "desire fail," the desire for the true Savior as they fall into apostasy.

Numbers 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

Our Father instructs Jeremiah, as He does us today. Gird your loins with His truth. Go forward for He is with us.....

Jeremiah 1:15-17 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.. Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.

1:18-19 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
