What is your take on Jesus when he said, 'Do not put your faith in me.' Can you imagine any founder of any religious movement where the leader tells the follower to NOT put your faith in me. You will have to search to find this phrase, but it is well worth your time. It will give you a grasp of what kind of faith Christ requires.

Jesus never said "Do not put your faith in me" He did say "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

Not quite, I didn't say that Jesus didn't ask unbelievers to have faith, but he ALSO said Don't put your faith in me. That is what I am referring to. Get your Gospels and look again. It is very important to actually see this text.

So where did you hear this?

If you are going to claim Jesus said this, then provide the scripture reference showing where He said it.
I have every intention of doing that, and I knew this would become controversial. But look again, it is in the Gospels.

Jesus speaking to Paul on the Damascus road says those who are receiving forgiveness of sin and an inheritance from God the Father have put their faith in Christ.
Don't deny this is what it says. Oh, yeah, lot's of people deny many different scriptures, recall God gave Christ all authority and power and the NAME above all names. When you honor the Son, you honor the Father.

Paul Recounts His Conversion

12 “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.

17 I will [b]deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I [c]now send you,

18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified[d] by faith in Me.’

I read this in my daily Bible reading not long ago .

Mark 11:22 Context

19And when even was come, he went out of the city. 20And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Are you referring to Christ speaking to Peter?

Mark 11

The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree

20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Forgiveness and Prayer

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 [d]But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

OF course we are to have faith in God.
God sent to us Christ, to save us from our sins.

John 6:27
Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Jesus did not say " Don't put your faith in me. " You can't post a scripture that says that.

A Bible version reference and a scripture citation would be how we could "actually see the text". I think that is "very important".

I didn't want to spoon feed you. Scholarship is about searching it for yourself. Any concordance will show you. However, tomorrow will give the verse. If you don't know the simple task of using a concordance, you are probably not a serious student of scripture. I am not saying you are not a serious student, but your comments lend themselves to that.

Nope....it's not there
I will give everyone the answer tomorrow. Do you have a concordance? It's what babes in Christ use. I am assuming you are not a serious student of the word based on your comments. And I can also tell you didn't read all the Gospels.
