Just wanted to say “Hi” from Canada. I’ve been watching this board for a while as a guest and decided to join so I could ask a question or two but find I can not post in the areas I wanted to ask questions, not sure why??? I’m wondering what makes Christians different?

Hi MikeWhat part of Canada are you from? I am in the Winnipeg area. Welcome.Your question about what makes a Christian different has a wide scope but I would answer it this way.....The Christian believer has something inside that works like magic to transform , teach , lead , enlighten , guide him on a daily basis. At the moment of salvation the Christian receives The Holy Spirit that turns the lights on in his life. Everything changes. It can be difficult to explain or describe this properly to a person who does not have the Holy Spirit themselves. They are usually unable to comprehend these things. In the meantime remember the Christian is not any better than anyone else , not any smarter , and still prone to make mistakes. These errors are forgiven and The Spirit tries to improve us as we go along.I earlier used the word magic which is not a proper Christian term to describe how the Holy Spirit works , but you get the idea. It is a fantastic experience that is internal and not easy to describe. Only the Christian completely understands. That is what makes him different. No other religion has The Holy Spirit. Only through Jesus Christ is it available.Best wishesMartin W.

My answer for you is: We are different from the world in that we seek to do good and live to learn about the way of God, in faith that we will receive Eternal life at his coming. are you in the faith at all?

What happens when you try to post? Perhaps you're not doing it right? As to what makes Christians different, think POWER!"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of selfdiscipline" (2 Tim 1:7) "..that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured" (Col 4:12) "..my Christian faith has been such a backbone through so many difficult times. For me Christianity is about being strengthened" (Bear Grylls on his website)
