[1Corinthians 7:19 KJV] "Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.".........which commandments are in view here? I say it is only the commandments delivered thru Paul. The commandments given by Paul were those of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus gave us his commandments for us to obey, in order to please God...........[1Thesalonians 4:1 KJV] "Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [so] ye would abound more and more." [1Thesalonians 4:2 KJV] "For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus."

John said to keep the commandments. Are these the same commandments given to Paul?.......[1Jo 2:2 KJV] "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world." [1Jo 2:3 KJV] "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments."...........The commandment of Christ Jesus is to believe on his name........[1John 3:23 KJV] "And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."..........John was not conveying the same the commandments given to Paul. John was commanding what Jesus commanded Israel, to believe he was the Christ, the Son of God for eternal life.......[1John 5:13 KJV] "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

God gave us all of His commandments to keep.

The commandment to not commit adultery, does it mean to not have "sex" many times with more than one woman, or does it mean not to worship many other gods/idols?

? You need to qualify your response for it to make any sense.
Fornication is physical as well as spiritual. Israel committed fornication by following other Gods
