Jesus mentioned the leaven of the Pharisees. Unfortunately I believe it's all throughout churches today. There are many obsessed with fancy titles, long prayers for self-glory, and only a pretense at charity.

The parable in Matthew doesn't really go with the verses you've added- even tho they are both speaking about leaven. I see why you connected them. Leaven usually speaks about sin and how it spreads. That's the use in your verses.

However ,in the parable Matt 13:33- Jesus was speaking about the Kingdom of heaven- 3 measures of flour is a lot- I think close to 50 lbs. The leaven even though a small amount makes all of the flour rise- It represents the spread of the gospel, beginning small and spreading. Also-whatever small things we can do are powerful . As yeast transforms the flour- the gospel transforms lives.
Even though we may not see the outward changes, God is actively working on the inside.

A lot of times Jesus said parables to catch the "Elites" in their own words.

The kingdom of heaven.
Is like unto leaven.

Leaven is hypocrisy.

Mat 23:13
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Shut up the kingdom of heaven.

Obstacles.
The world is full of them.

For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Not much has changed. Dad and I are still waking up every morning anticipating what the day may bring.
The world is going through some stuff right now, but Thank the Lord, dad and I are mostly insulated from it.
Almost everyday is exactly the same. Only thing that changes up the routine is which nurse or cna will be stopping by that day.
But the picture tube is becoming quite the drama show.
Sucking us all in like a great big vacuum, lol
not funny really, kind of sad.
I can't believe it's May already. We just came through the longest winter I thought would never end.
Hopefully it will warm up soon so I can get dad outside for a few minutes for a change of scenery. Me too.

Time is flying.

Im doing well. The babies are toddlers now running around and curious about everything. My husband is doing well too. Im so proud of him.
