Another friend lost hope at her job..the Principal didnt like her.
I asked if she was a Christian..i never had asked what her beliefs were, but, now she took me to lunch seeking my counsel.
We talked about "either you practice what Jesus said or you dont"...
I said, "Ask....believe it has already been given."
Ask that your boss change...believe that in so many ways God can change this man overnight...by seeing a car accident, having a dream, getting a phone call of a family tragedy...just anything..He will do anything according to His will if you ask Him.

The very next day he called her into his office in the High School...had a smile and told her what good work she was doing.

This had never happened before.

God adores us..Jesus showed us that...he told us how to be ...ask our Heavenly Father ...would He give us a stone? Of course not.
Having the mind of Christ ...letting Christ within us strengthen us is easy when we 100% trust in God's Love for us as any good father..open to His guidance in every situation...when we cast our cares far away like a fishing line...and give Him each and every burden, period.

According to you all a preacher needs to do is read verses from the bible. That the actions of Jesus, the apostles and Christian leaders/preachers through the centuaries have been doing it wrong. That they shouldn't explain what the bible verses mean and apply them to our lives.

This is away off from the o.p. but I will attempt to explain from the above, in the 1st. place, I can't really speak for what they are doing, but I can speak for myself as a living sacrifice, for everything works together as far as the scriptures because:
