The believer will be hard pressed to find life in the scriptures outside of Christ. Nothing you can do or have ever done has brought you life. Spiritual life can only be found in the Son, 1 John 5:11-12,
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
The scriptures declare your spiritual life is to be expressed in day to day living.
Your spiritual life effects every aspect of natural life, you cannot separate the two.
Example: you cannot separate Christ from anything do, and you cannot separate Christ from where you go. Inevitably when Christians hear the message of pure grace, their first thoughts are 'you mean I can go and do anything I please.
That is how misunderstood grace has become in law teaching today.
Most of my law friends ultimately confront me with the same question.
Pure grace will be the most difficult life you can live as well as the most rewarding. Think about it we are talking about the creator of all things as my life.
Point being when you now understand that it is Christ in every situation in life, and that life is expressed as the individuals creation, you watch what you say and what you do.
You are not free to express an old life, you were not saved to yield to the pulls of the flesh, your freedom only comes from Christ expression.
A Christian that lives a life apart from the Christ life is not free, ultimately they will be corrected.
The Christian life, is a life that is lived by and through the Christ in you.
To those that have been caught by religion need law preaching to feel like they are living the life.
Deceived into thinking that this life is their life and they must do something to make it work.
Jesus is an attachment to their life, not seeing Christ in the fullness of who He is, life. The seed of God in the human being, Gal. 3:16,
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

You may be the only expression of Jesus in whatever situation, it is called spontaneous living.
A Christ person; someone that has knowledge of Christ being their only life, lives life understanding there is no other life.
A Christian with knowledge will allow Christ to swallow up their being, Acts 17:28,
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Condemnation still exists in believers at times.
The overcoming power of "no condemnation to them that are in Christ", is to be "in Christ" with knowledge.
You can quote scripture, stand on all the promises, and still have condemnation. How does this happen to a devoted God loving Christian. Their knowledge and understanding will be everything that makes their person, it is the hidden wisdom of God to understand their birthing, Eph. 1:17,
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

This is where you received life, the life of Christ comes from a birthing, born again, you get it no other way.
As a born again believer you have no other life but Christ. You cannot find life in anything you do.
The cross is God's place of bringing life to lifeless humanity.
There was a life but it was death, death-life is what Adam recieved in the garden at the fall.
With this in mind I must tell you there is no life in what Moses had to say, Abraham as well as the other Patriarchs or the Psalms.
Wonderful history and even the lineage the Savior of the world would come through.
All scripture is to be gleaned for edification and life application, but life is only in the Son.
In hard times I have been blessed by the sweet Psalmist of Israel (king David) and the Proverbs have helped me to understand the wisdom of God.
But you will not find life in them, the life we speak of only comes from the "Christ in you" nature.

GINOLJC, to all. first thanks for the topic. second a good topic. I would like to zero in on this statement of yours.
A Christian that lives a life apart from the Christ life is not free, ultimately they will be corrected.
not saying that you're right or wrong, but consider this. 1 Corinthians 6:12 "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any". and this one, 1 Corinthians 10:23 "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not". for years these two verses, on the surface seems the same. but, no they are not. one governs your spiritual life, and the other your carnal life. this is why the apostle Paul struggle with the sin in our spiritual life, and our natural life in the book of ROMANS. but here in 1 Corinthians, and not in 2 Corinthians, because he got it right the first time. Yes, there is a spiritual life of the Christian, but there is also a natural life of the Christian. remember God made this world GOOD, and to be enjoyed, but not enjoyed any kind of way. this is why the Lord Jesus is called the Governor, he governs our lives spiritually and naturally. what I do in public do not necessary always reflect what I do in private. and likewise what goes on in the Home not always reflect this in the Church. some things are private, as something are public. this is the key in understanding the Christian walk.
and two, speaking privately, what goes on in house B might not necessary work in House A.

second, becoming a Christian do have some limitation, remember private, and public? if meat, like pork offends my brother, in front of him I will not eat it, for his sake. maybe he's weak in KNOWLEDGE, (hence my limitations) . but when I get home, I'll eat all the pork I want , and take a blood pressure pill either before or after the meal. see, the apostle said, " All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient".

also like playing cards. many in Christ think one cannot play a card game. JUST DON"T GAMBLE. again the apostle, "all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not" . see, when you allow the Lord Jesus to control your life, you can drink but DON'T GET DRUNK, but if drinking offends your brother, don't not in front of him, or sometime out of his sight. when Paul got the answer as to how to overcome sin in the flesh, (Roman chapter 6), then he could tell the Corinthians how to do it.

so yes, this is a good topic, and can be richly informative.
