Have you ever given thought to the born again; as a new race of people. Granted a heavenly bunch, but nonetheless a race of people created by God, by a birthing, on this planet. In the beginning there was one race, then God created Himself another race.
Now He has done it again, he has created another race by placing a part of Himself in the creature (his creation), you who are the only one like you has He placed a part of Himself, Christ to live through your very creation.
You can cut that as many ways as you want but what you will always end up with is a perfect eternal glorious plan that was in our Father before creation, Ephesians 1:4

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

So you have the Gentile race, Jewish race, and New Creation race.
Just as he choose to himself Abraham to be the father of this new race that would be called Jewish, He will be the Father to this new creation race.
Through the lineage of Abraham (a Gentile) we get the Jewish race, the physical birth.
By Christ in you we get the New Creation race.
I want you to take a trip with me and look at something very unusual in creation.
Before creation there is a Father and His Son and the Spirit that accompanies it all, the Godhead.
The fellowship between the Father and the Son is Glorious the scriptures say, John 17:5

5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

A love that cannot be measured exsists between them, immeasurable to say the least.
A Father whose desire is to be a Father and a Son that loves His Father so much He would do anything for His Father.
I have to believe as creation is discussed, and the Son wanting to give the Father more sons, a death had to be brought up.
The Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, how could anyone say at that time "send me I'll go."
A love that cannot be expressed in human terms, something not comprehensible to mankind.
The born again come at a high price, the Father has given His all on Galgotha's hill.
The only reason for creation now is coming into full fruition.
The birthed of God are now set in order by God's cross.
No wonder Paul wanted to know only Him "in the power of His resurrection."
We take our gospel from what happened 2000 years ago, we get our gospel from what we think happened in the Old Testament, we take our gospel from the fall of Adam.
No, our gospel goes back to when there was nothing, no creation.
Nothing exsisted but a love between a Father and a Son.
It's called a glorious eternal plan, it's called glorious salvation.
The glory of God is to see Him in all His majesty and realize He had a plan before creation, glorious in deed.
The knowledge of good and evil is killing Christians, they make false judgments yet claiming all truth, study to show yourself approved and make good judgements, the spiritual are not judged, 1 Corinthians 2:15

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

I do love Ephesians 1; its content is so very - literally - out of this world, and contrasts with so much fashionable religious thinking.

PS: What you say seems to emphasize the sheer wonder of John 3.16: '...that He gave His only begotten Son...'

Yes our oneness, union, completeness, the cross, our new birth, how ever we say it the fact is it is finished. That is the easiest way to describe the cross and union.
