I had a strange day today. Some family turned up, and we were chatting, and then I happened to look through the window of my lounge and found that someone had parked a supermarket trolley filled with stuff in my trees. I was annoyed because I was thinking that someone had dumped their rubbish. We went to have a look, and it turned out to be a shopping cart filled with all kinds of bread. The date on it was for 4 days' time, which means this was new bread.

We rang the local supermarket, and they checked and found that they had lost some bread. They checked the security cameras and noted someone in the back of their property stealing a trolley load of bread. Now they are sending someone over to come pick it up. Crazy day but true—that "Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" Glory! coffee:

Our son worked at a grocery store, and he often had to go into the public housing development a block away to retrieve shopping carts taken by the local residents. He found it quite annoying, but I had to remind him that folks who live in publicly subsidized housing are most likely too poor to afford an automobile. It would be polite to return the cart, though.

The fact that the trolley still contained bread and was concealed in the trees looks like a pre-arranged drop point. Is there a homeless camp nearby? I don't know if NZ has those; most cities in the US do. You may see some folks in your trees come looking for that bread.

There are homeless camps in my area, just one or two homeless people. The person who stole the bread was going somewhere and then decided to abandon the trolley, possibly to come back later. IDK but it's back with the owners now.
