Galatians 6:7 (NASB)
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘man sows.... man reaps’
This is a universal and eternal truth... Even to the forgiven, one sows what one reaps.... Scripture divides this into two categories, flesh or spirit... One would have the blessings of God on it the other, not...
If this is true, than to “sow to the spirit” would be the way forward for all that would desire to grow in God...
This sowing to the spirit than what exactly is it?
One could say it is walking in the fruit of the Spirit, but than self effort of how much love or ones perceived version of love was showed would be the benchmark of achievement and the severe judgement of the one that failed to reach the perceived standard of measurement....
So sowing to the spirit would have to be something much more secure from all efforts of the self life.....
So than what is sowing to the spirit?
Sowing to the spirit is another way of saying walking by faith... For faith in the operation of God in ones life on a moment by moment basis is the only way to keep the will of the flesh held captive on the cross in Christ’s death... For if something is not of faith, it is sin, regardless of how pleasing or Christian like it may appear if it is not of faith it is of self.... And if it is of self, it is sin...
Sowing to the spirit is that that causes the new birth to mature in one, i.e. the Divine nature in one to blossom forth to control the outer man in his doings... Saying no, where the no is necessary, than to the saying of yes, when that too is called for, to the manifestation of righteousness in all outward circumstances of life... For the doing of the righteous thing in the outward life is that that receives the blessings of God...
For the doing of the right thing at the right time is what we are all called to, from out of the darkness that is this world... To walk in this newness of life which is the manifestation of righteousness in all the outward circumstances of life.... Or maybe better said and more pointed, correctly understood, drinking the cup that is set before one.... And to drink from that cup regardless of what’s in it takes faith in the love of God pointed directly at the drinker of the cup..
Be blessed in the sowing to the spirit so one might drink and reap the rewards of such a life given over to God...
