Is the will of Jehovah not being done on earth? or is it that our prayers all these years are hanging? when last did you pray that the will of God be done on earth?

What Jesus taught at the Matthew 6:9, 10, is yet to be fulfilled, but will be accomplished by the end of the "thousand year" reign of Jesus Christ.(Rev 20:6) Jesus taught his disciples to pray: "Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth."(Matt 6:9, 10) Thus, for God's name to be "hallowed" or sanctified, cleansed of all the reproach that has been heaped upon it over the course of 6000 years of human history, Jesus taught his disciples to pray for God's kingdom to "come".

What though is God's kingdom ? It is a heavenly government consisting of Jesus Christ and 144,000 associate rulers. (Rev 7:4; 14:1; Luke 17:21) Because it is contrasted with "a great crowd" at Revelation 7:9 and comparatively small in number, Jesus calls those are chosen as "joint heirs with Christ"(Rom 8:17), members of the kingdom as a "little flock", saying: "Have no fear, little flock, because your Father has approved of giving you the kingdom."(Luke 12:32)

According to Daniel 2:28, this heavenly government went into operation during the "final part of the days" or "last days", our time period. Daniel 2:44 says that "in the days of those kings ( the governments now existing) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite."

Furthermore, at Daniel 7:13, 14, Daniel says that "I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin."

At Revelation 6:2, it says that when the first "seal" was opened, that the apostle John "saw, and, look! a white horse; and the one seated upon it had a bow; and a crown was given him, and he went forth conquering and to complete his conquest." The rider on "a white horse" is Jesus Christ, having a "bow" for warfare. He is given "a crown" and having assumed his role as king of God's kingdom, goes "forth conquering and to complete his conquest." But when was Jesus given "a crown" ?

The next verses helps to identify when God's kingdom went into operation, for immediately following Jesus enthronement, another rider on a "fiery-colored horse" comes forth. To the "one seated upon it there was granted to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another; and a great sword was given him."(Rev 6:3, 4) When was "peace (taken) away from the earth" for the first time ? When World War I broke out on July 28, 1914, with Austria-Hungary attacking Serbia. By the end of the war, 93 percent of the earth's population was involved. Thus, God's kingdom was established in 1914 or "in the days of those kings".(Dan 2:44)

For what purpose was God's kingdom established ? For ' God's will to take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.' And what is God's will ? To restore the earth to paradise conditions as he originally intended in the Garden of Eden. When Jesus was on the torture stake between two Jewish evil-doers, he told one of them who requested to remember him when he got into his kingdom, that "Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.”(Luke 23:43) Jesus was referring to the paradise that his heavenly Father had provided for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.(Gen 2:9)

Hence, by means of God's kingdom, Jesus will remove all wickedness from the earth (Ps 37:9,10), just as there is no wickedness, nor sorrow nor death nor sickness in heaven. Our Creator, Jehovah God, intended for the earth to be an everlasting perfect home for Adam and his offspring and of this he cannot lie.(Titus 1:2) Though Adam and Eve will never be alive again, some of their offspring will indeed have the privilege of living forever on the earth "in the abundance of peace."(Ps 37:11) Jesus said: "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."(Matt 5:5, King James Bible)

Those who measure up to being "meek" or teachable ones, have the confirmed hope of the earth as their "everlasting inheritance" from God. Psalms 115:16 says: "As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong, but the earth he has given to the sons of men." Following the end of "thousand year" reign of Jesus Christ and the associate kings, whereby Satan, his demons, all human governments and those who followed them and finally death are destroyed (Rev 21:3, 4), then "he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing."(1 Cor 15:24-26)

At this time, Revelation says: "And the One seated on the throne (Jehovah God) said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”(Rev 21:5) Thus, the earth is now ' made new ', transformed into a paradise for "meek" ones. God's kingdom has served it's purpose of seeing that the earth is the paradise that God intended, with "mild-tempered" ones living on it, with God's will having now been done.

One thing I don't understand after reading through is that, In the beginning, God spoke the words and things were created! Can't He also speak the words to make things new instantly without sorrows or pains on humans?

I think He would have to annihilate us. If He wants to salvage the creatures He loves - I trust this is the best plan.

Personally, I think He is teaching us the highest form of love, which is forgiveness - He is showing us what it took for Him to forgive us and allowing us to practice forgiving each other.

I believe in His forgiveness but will there be forgiveness on judgment day? Will there be love on judgment day? Since majority are going to hell what's the love there? remember Judas Iscariot? what happens to him? He was used to fulfill the prophecy but where will he go? hell or heaven? If predestination is true, will you say God is love? Didn't He see the future of the world before He created it? Am sorry about so many questions!

God did not just ' speak the words and things were created', as if they immediately came into existence when he spoke a command. At Genesis 1:1, it says: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." It is through his "word" that "the heavens and the earth" have been created, but this took perhaps billions of years (or maybe even longer) for this to be accomplished, not "overnight". Many may feel that God can cause anything to be created in an instant of time. However, this view does not harmonize with God's view of time, for he outside of time and space, he being the one who established the great timepieces, the stars and galaxies, by which we set our schedules.

Psalms 90:2 says that "before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."(King James Bible) Since God is eternal, having no beginning nor end, is there a rush to create anything ? He is known as the Creator or "Grand Creator" at Ecclesiastes 12:1. (“Your Grand Creator.” Hebrew, Boh·re’ey´kha. The participle of the Hebrew verb “create” is plural to denote grandeur or excellence)

Isaiah the prophet was inspired to write: "Have you not come to know or have you not heard? Jehovah, the Creator of the extremities of the earth, is a God to time indefinite ("everlasting God", King James Bible). He does not tire out or grow weary. There is no searching out of his understanding."(Isa 40:28) Jehovah God is thus our Creator, who is not bound by time and space, but works to accomplish his eternal purpose of having the universe in complete unity under his rulership.

After having completed forming both Adam and Eve, God then looked upon all his creative handiwork regarding the earth being now finished and said: "It is very good."(Gen 1:31) Over the course of six "creative" days"(each creative "day" was several thousand years long), God fashioned the earth into "home" for Adam and Eve and their offspring, with the Garden of Eden being the pattern by which to follow in transforming the rest of the earth into a paradise.(Gen 2:9) Though God "spoke the word", his creative works regarding the earth being "home" for mankind were not created instantly, but took thousands of years. The earth's core was formed over perhaps billions of years until it was ready for transformation into our "home".

After creating Adam and Eve at the end of the sixth creative "day", God gave them a command, blessing them: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.”(Gen 1:28) They were to fill the earth with their offspring. However, at the beginning of the seventh creative "day", Adam and Eve rebelled against Jehovah God, violating his command to not eat of "the tree of knowledge of good and bad."(Gen 2:17; 3:6) Both were now sinners. Would God immediately destroy them, along with the "serpent" that was later named Satan ?("satan" means resistor) No.

He allowed Adam and Eve to have children, to "fill the earth". Because the issue of sovereignty, of whether God has the right to set moral standards for his creation was challenged, God permitted Adam , Eve and Satan to continue living.(Gen 3:1-5) This challenge of universal sovereignty was further put to test when Satan said to God concerning Job: "Skin in behalf of skin, and everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul. For a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch as far as his bone and his flesh [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.”(Job 2:4, 5) Thus, throughout the course of the seventh creative "day", God has allowed deplorable conditions to exist, showing that Satan's way of ruling is a dismal failure.

God purposed that by the end of the seventh creative "day", the earth be in total harmony and unity with the rest of the universe, whereby "God may be all things to everyone."(1 Cor 15:28) God works according to his "appointed time" and need not rush to complete his "productions".("productions", Hebrew qinyan, Ps 104:24) Isaiah was inspired to write: "For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited."(Isa 45:18)

Hence, by the end of his seventh creative "day"at the end of the "thousand year" reign of Christ Jesus in the near future (Rev 20:6), the entire universe will be in harmonious accord, all worshipping the one true God, Jehovah, with the earth now transformed into a paradise as God originally purposed for "meek" ones to eternally enjoy under God's rulership. At this time, Revelation 21:3-5 will have been fulfilled, saying: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”

Personally, I think He is teaching us the highest form of love, which is forgiveness - He is showing us what it took for Him to forgive us and allowing us to practice forgiving each other.

God has a firm desire to forgive, for 2 Peter 3:9 says that "Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance." That God wants to forgive is noted at Isaiah 55:6, 7: "Search for Jehovah, you people, while he may be found. Call to him while he proves to be near. Let the wicked man leave his way, and the harmful man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way."

For many a person, these often have to make major changes in his or her personality, ' leaving his (or her) way ' of the past, and his (or her) ' harmful thoughts ' if they want to receive God's forgiveness. The apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians: "But now really put them all away from you, wrath, anger, badness, abusive speech, and obscene talk out of your mouth. Do not be lying to one another. Strip off the old personality with its practices, and clothe yourselves with the new [personality], which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it."(Col 3:8-10)

For example, Jesus said that his true disciples, are to be "no part of the world."(John 15:19) Those who leave the "world", it's false religion, it's political arena, and it's greedy commercialism, can receive forgiveness from God. Of false religion, God urges: "And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her (Babylon the Great, world empire of false religion), my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues."(Rev 18:4)

Of politics, Jesus refused to partake in any of the political situations of any nation. John 6:15 says that "Jesus, knowing they (the Jews) were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone." And when before Pilate, Jesus told him concerning his being a king: "My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.”(John 18:36)

And of greedy commercialism, Jesus said: "No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot slave for God and for Riches."(Matt 6:24) And the apostle Paul wrote that "those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and ruin. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains."(1 Tim 6:9, 10)

Hence, God is willing to forgive individuals who brings his or her life in harmony with his laws, principles and guidelines that are found in the Bible.

Yes.

And I could be a puppet or a robot or a Stepford Wife.
God could have a proverbial plasic dummy in his closet, I suppose.

How boring for Eternity to watch one romantic comedy over and over.

I would personally want to watch a continuing Epic full of wars and romance, tragedy and triumph,
innocence and wisdom, death and rebirth,

...but he who does boast let him boast of this, that he knows and understands me, so saith the Lord. Jer 9?

I say seek deep within yourself to understand the Lord.
All the insight and wisdom is there - in that secret place within you.
Bless you

Anytime someone sins, HIS will is not being done...

HIS will, the plan for creation is for us to LOVE HIM AND TO GLORIFY HIM FOREVER!

All of scripture implies that this is what HE wants from us....and it is being done in heaven right now by HIS perfected Church. And once the last martyr to his sins is purified, we will all sing HIS praises together!

One thing I don't understand after reading through is that, In the beginning, God spoke the words and things were created! Can't He also speak the words to make things new instantly without sorrows or pains on humans?

The purpose of our creation was for us to love and to glorify (worship) GOD forever.
Robots and tape recorders cannot love or worship even though they say the words.
People forced to say the words cannot really love or worship.

Only people who choose to (learn to) love and worship by their own unforced true free will choice can in fact ever love and worship so as to fufill GOD' will as planned in our creation: "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

So, no, HE can't magic us to do HIS will...HE has to take the long way around and teach us to repent of our addictions to our idols and choose to be holy so as to be able to fulfill HIS will for us!

Good luck and GOD bless...

I believe that Almighty God, in knowing where our own self determination would lead us to has given us the time to realise just where it will all lead. He knows all there is to know about bullying and oppression, greed and spitefulness and knew that the rulers of these things would eventually lead the world to its ruination. That ruination will come by way of a 'great tribulation' the like of which has not been seen since the worlds beginning.

The Christian is warned...these things will come to pass...but strengthen our spirit by righteous works because this will supply the armour we will need and which will safeguard us against all eventualities.
