Dear U,
Thanks for your reply.
If you cannot sense the anointing (i.e. the flowing of the Holy Spirit) through the person who is speaking then what they say is usually of little import. A unsaved person can read the Bible to you and have the same effect. You could say, "it does not matter that the person is unsaved because I honor the words of God that they are speaking." This is essentially what you are saying with regards to this preacher.
I listened to the video to see if at any point he became anointed and I could not find one. There was just nothing there. Yes he was speaking about standards and salvation but most anyone who is newly saved can do that and probably better because they still have a new relationship with God. This man has no connection with God that is evident in his sermon.
I know that people want to pretend that things are great when they are not in order to fit in or be a part of a group. It is difficult to say that the emperor has no clothes when everyone else is pretending he does. However, the fact of the matter is that if God is not present in his preaching he is not present in the speakers life. Having been in Africa quite a bit I have seen people mimic what they think the western churches holds as good preaching. They put on quite a show but there is nothing coming good coming from them no matter how much the sweat.
The pharisees had standards too yet they drifted very far away from God. Standards are good but if there is no core of God inside of you then they are merely covering up uncleanliness.
Blessings,
Justin
