I was focused upon the fact that we too in Australia have animals that will kill and consume you given the chance. The type of animals that will, was really irrelevant to what I had posted. Your response was to make the optics of what you had posted previously, better, by suggesting that I had overlooked an irrelevant part of your previous post with respect to what I had posted.
I noticed @Armour of God does this. In another thread, he's peculiar about who to object applying violent force to. Doesn't want to talk about other groups, such as criminals by police and terrorists or enemy armies by our military.

I didn't even think about wild animals as a justified target for use of violence.

I'm asking myself is it more dangerous to go hiking/camping in Australia or in America?
So let's put some perspective on things and see how many peope are attacked and/or die from land animal attacks.

So those big scary mammals of North America don't actually attack humans very often and deaths are very rare.

Let's look at the venemous creatures.

I'm actually surprised by how many venemous snake bites and spider bites there are in the states. More than I expected

Meanwhile in Australia

There are less venemous snake bites and deaths in Australia than America.
But you have to consider the population.
America has about 340 million people whereas Australia only has 27 million people.
So per person Australia has far more bites and deaths by snakes than America.
If Australia had 340 million people than there would be 36,000 snake bites with about 30 deaths per year. So the odds of getting bitten and killed are in fact much higher in Australia

Spider bites and deaths in Australia are lower than I expected. No deaths since 1979 compared to America's 3 fatalities per year from spiders.

There are no other really dangerous land animals that I can think of in Australia.

So after considering all that data I would have to say that it is a bit more dangerous to go hiking/camping in Australia because of the amount of snake bites and deaths per person.

The Black bears are what we have in our suburban foothill streets...they root through trash cans on trash day, go swimming in the pools or lounge in the backyard trees.

When a bear is roaming a street, the news crews or helicopters go to take videos. Once a man was walking on the side of his house with his nose to his cell phone. The bear was coming around the other corner of his house...so they almost met nose to nose! Man turned around and fled! It was funny to see...helicopter caught that.

Brief videos.
Here's the texting man and bear...

Hot tub bear...

Short video...bears even play with swimming float toys! Click on watch on YouTube.

Yea but they are very territorial during the breeding season or when mummy has a joey to protect
Even the koalas know and understand the order of things .
Pretty sad that more and more of even humanity believes otherwise .
You dont see the koalas pondering and saying hey i was born the wrong sex . its pretty sad days indeed .
