Dogs are pack animals, they form strong family groups, take in new dogs if approved by the pack and it's leadership.
They mark territory and guard that territory as a home area. They hunt in pack numbers.
Cats are often more male-female pair creatures forming families.
A large cat species can have what is called a lion pride. Where the females tend to the new born kittens, including hunting. The male large cat hunts also and forms other duties, and also protects.
Some large cat species has one female while others may have many.
Dogs are approval seekers of the dog pack some people say. Cats as well. But one thing is clear, their behavior is remarkably different.
In the bible it talks about the children and the dogs when healing a little girl. The mother sought her healing. Jesus granted her healed. He is kind.

Matthew 15:
21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

The dogs perhaps were Satan and his dark birds as angels.
That dark spiritual city of Sodom and Egypt also designed to trap every foul bird, like Babylon.
Socialism and society can form like a dog pack at the beast level and also higher in intelligence and behavior at the human level.
Again societies can serve good or evil, and in varying amounts both. Imagine a scale of balance with good measured on one side and evil measured on the other. Those would be works, which would reflect the current state of that social group, and perhaps the city. Unless the works are hidden. And the signs and symptoms of evil works also hidden. By their fruits we shall know them.

Matthew 10:
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Here we find that society can have pressure on a person to fit and form into what that society sees as acceptable. And Jesus being the lion of the tribe of Juda, root of David, requires more of us. We are to become children of God, not children of men.
We do have to have good hearts towards people. We receive teaching and direction from God's holy spirit. We become new creations in Christ. We hold to his foundation of strong character.
Then, as the above scripture says we can honor, father, mother, brother and sister and better help and direct and bring them to Christ and his ways.
There is what is called peer pressure. In high school that can be difficult to deal with. Conforming to a person's class age group and group behavior. They can sometimes form like a school of fish as they go thru out school. When one turns, they might all turn, and sometimes not. Eventually the one that turned alone goes back to the school of fish.
Jesus is a fisherman of fish, his disciples as well. He brings them out of the school of fish behaviors. His teachings are containt in the old and new testament of God. There are other teachings contained in scriptures not found in the bible books and ongoing teachings from and with his holy spirit.
Along with peer pressures, there are above and below peer pressures. Society pressure. Authority pressures. Etc.
But when we stay founded in character on the rock that is Christ, we can be a light to the world, and also the people around us.

Matthew 7:
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

God's spirit has fruits, the disciple Paul recorded and witnessed of them:
---
Galatians 5:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
