There won't be an algorthym issue. Musk has plenty of Math Geniuses on staff. Tesla and Space X ....So that was clearly not a must have position. We had one at Beckwith Electric ...you never want to lose that guy, especially when he provides the means in which to design new products ...The 25% left should be given a chance for a great pay raise ....It's called "Move away from San Francisco and out of California" Maybe to Nevada or Arizona ....The cost of living goes down and the taxes go down .....stay at the same pay level ....Automatic pay raise ...Desert air si much more healthy than the filth you breath in the Bay Area ....no feces or needles to dodge ....

And one good reason is they do not fit in ideologically with what Musk plans to do with Twitter.
You can only move a large company the way you want by getting rid of the entrenched subversives who will not like what you are doing with 'their' company, and who will actually be sabotaging your efforts.

He's going to have to deal with his own "deep state".

Think of all the business and conservative families income these leftist commies ruined, about time they get the boot!

Safety: We demand that leadership does not discriminate against workers on the basis of their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or political beliefs. We also demand safety for workers on visas, who will be forced to leave the country they work in if they are laid off.

Considering they are most likely the best educated group within Twitter ....I don't think the 75% will be in closing that facility. I picked up a team at the Tampa Airport one morning. Halfway across the Howard Franklin Bridge ......"Ray, we are here to close the manufacturing plant this morning. You are the only employee we are keeping. (I had marketed, sold, estimated and was in the process of fielding a construction team for a Walt Disney World Project. The largest single project ever contracted by the company.) Within a week, a desk, fax, computer, drawing board was all in my formal dining room ....now my office. I worked there for three years ...I know exactly what took place ....Consultants were sent to the offices ....in San Francisco and India. They knew Twitter better than they knew themselves. The consultants know exactly who will be left and who will be shown the door.

In a change of that magnitude ...I prefer an email ..."If there is a box or your desk. Pack and meet in the auditorium" ...The parking lot empties at 2 PM today ....

When I changed careers ....I was in a meeting at Florida Power and Light in Miami ...room full of engineers. FPL going through a downsizing. Two days later, of the 30 engineers in that room .....three remained.

Self-proclaimed "Chief Twit" Elon Musk sent Twitter into an uproar after sharing a conspiracy theory about the break-in at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) home in San Francisco, which left her husband, Paul, hospitalized.

Fresh off finalizing his $44 billion takeover of Twitter, Musk responded Sunday to a tweet from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who castigated Republicans and their "mouthpieces" for spreading "deranged conspiracy theories" while sharing a link to an article about the break-in suspect, 42-year-old David DePape, who is facing charges of attempted murder, elder abuse, and burglary after allegedly attacking Paul Pelosi with a hammer.

"There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye," Musk said in his tweet, which shared a post that puts forth allegations that Paul Pelosi was intoxicated and had met the intruder at a gay bar earlier in the night before the attack took place early Friday morning.

The man who allegedly attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer has been named as David DePape by the San Francisco Police Department.

The 42-year-old is believed to have entered the Pelosi home through its rear and shouted, “Where’s Nancy?,” looking for the Democratic speaker of the House, who was in Washington, DC, at the time.

DePape is then said to have attempted to tie Paul up, saying they were going to wait “until Nancy got home,” according to CNN.

San Francisco Police Chief William “Bill” Scott said officers were dispatched to the Pelosi residence in the Pacific Heights neighborhood at 2:27 a.m. Friday, where they encountered the suspect and Paul, who both appeared to be holding a hammer.
