Bethlehem’s Promised King

This is my first Country Christmas Song

Bethlehem’s Promised King is a gritty country Christmas song that returns Christmas to what Scripture declares it to be. No sugar coating. No polished tinsel. Just the raw truth of a Savior born into a cold, rough world to save broken sinners. The lyrics ride straight out of the Scriptures themselves. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior” ~Luke 2:11. “A virgin shall conceive… Emmanuel” ~Matthew 1:23. “The Word became flesh” ~John 1:14. This song puts those verses right into the story, where they belong. It sounds like snow on old boots, lantern light in a drafty barn, steel guitar in the background, and a King lying in a manger instead of a throne. It’s the kind of Christmas song that reminds you Jesus didn’t come for the polished. He came for the weary, the guilty, the ones walking through dark nights and hard roads. On a rough and rugged Christmas night, hope showed up in Bethlehem. This song tells that story the way country folks understand it: honest, unvarnished, and anchored in the Word of God.
