[Mat 4:23 KJV] 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
[Mat 9:35 KJV] 35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
[Mat 24:14 KJV] 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
[Mar 1:14-15 KJV] 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom.

The kingdom is the prophetic Davidic earthly kingdom in which believing Israel will reign with Christ a thousand years.
There's only one Gospel.

You asserted there is one gospel I want to know what you say is the gospel
Dear Doug, since panda would not answer I will certainly;

The gospel of Jesus is the good news of the kingdom of God, which He came to bring to all who would listen, repent, and believe. He began His ministry proclaiming, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15). Everything He preached centered on God’s reign—His will done on earth as in heaven—and the way back to the Father through obedience, repentance, faith, and a transformed heart. He taught that those who humble themselves, hunger for righteousness, show mercy, and seek purity will be called children of God and inherit the kingdom. He revealed the Father not only through His words but also through His works, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, casting out demons, raising the dead, and forgiving sins to show that the power of heaven had come near. He taught people to turn away from sin and love God with all their heart, soul, and mind, and to love their neighbor as themselves, making these the foundation of all God’s commandments.

Jesus’ message was not a set of secret teachings for a select few but a call to everyone to enter the narrow way that leads to life. He spoke openly in parables, revealing that the kingdom of God is like a hidden treasure worth selling everything to obtain, like a seed that must grow within the heart, and like a great feast where many are invited but few accept. He emphasized doing the will of His Father, warning that not everyone who calls Him “Lord” will enter the kingdom, but only those who keep His words. He exposed hypocrisy and false religion, teaching that outward appearances are nothing if the heart is far from God. His gospel called people to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him, for whoever loses their life for His sake will find it.

Through His life He demonstrated the character of the kingdom He preached. He lived without sin, showed compassion to the outcast, and taught by example what it means to serve. He forgave His enemies, even as they crucified Him, fulfilling His own command to love even those who hate us. His death was the greatest act of obedience and love, for He gave His life as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Through His resurrection He defeated death and proved that eternal life is given to all who believe and follow Him. After rising, He appeared to His disciples, opening their understanding of the Scriptures and commanding them to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe everything He had commanded. His gospel includes His works as well as His words, for He told them to go out and heal the sick, cast out demons, and proclaim that the kingdom of God has come near, just as He had done.

Jesus preached a complete message of life, repentance, obedience, and the coming reign of God, showing by His miracles and teachings the reality of the kingdom. He warned of judgment for the unrepentant and promised eternal life to the faithful, making clear that following Him required enduring faithfulness until the end. His gospel was not a shortened or simplified version of the truth; it was the full revelation of God’s plan of salvation and the call to enter His kingdom through the narrow gate. Everything He did and said revealed the Father’s heart and the path to eternal life, and He entrusted His disciples to spread this complete gospel to the ends of the earth, teaching all nations to follow everything He commanded and to walk as He walked.

if you have questions on Christ i will answer as best as I can.

Blessings.

Do the scriptures contain the word 'gospels' = if so, please post them
Hey David
No they dont say gospels plural but I can show you what I see as gospels:

[Gen 3:15 KJV] 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Gospel of a coming saviour

[Gen 22:8 KJV] 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

God will provide offering for our sins

[Heb 4:2 KJV] 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].

What gospel was the writer of Hebrews referring to?

Deuteronomy 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Jesus preached the gospel of the coming Davidic kingdom on earth

[John 3:16, 18 KJV] 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ... 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The gospel of everlasting life in the name of Jesus

[1Co 15:1-4 KJV] 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Paul's gospel

Agree or not there is more than one gospel.....why is that a threat is to be refuted is beyond me

The gospel is progressive and dispensational

This does not align with scripture saying the parables were hid from the multitude:

How do you say we turn from sin?

God says there is none righteous....the law gave the knowledge of sin
Hello Doug,

The law was not given just so we could know what sin is, but so we would turn from it and live!! When God spoke the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, the people trembled and said they would listen, and Moses told them, “God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin” (Exodus 20:20). The commandments show what is right and wrong so we can stay away from sin. They teach us to love God first—by having no other gods, not making idols, honoring His name, and keeping His Sabbath—and to love our neighbors by honoring our parents, not killing, not committing adultery, not stealing, not lying, and not coveting. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). He also said, “If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17).

Jesus explained the law more deeply. For example, the command says, “You shall not murder,” but Jesus taught that even anger without cause brings us under judgment (Matthew 5:21–22). He showed that the heart of all God’s law is love: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind” and “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37–39).

So when we turn from sin, we do it by following the path God set before us. The law ( the ten Commandments) points the way, and Jesus magnified it so we can see that obeying it means loving God and others with all our hearts.

Blessings.

This does not align with scripture saying the parables were hid from the multitude:

[Mat 13:13-16 KJV] 13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16 But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Yes, Doug, many who reject God and Jesus will not understand because true understanding comes from God Himself. Jesus said of those who harden their hearts, “Seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand” (Matthew 13:13), and again, “Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them” (Matthew 13:15). But He also said to His disciples, “Blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear” (Matthew 13:16).

Those who close their hearts to God’s word cannot grasp it, as their eyes are blinded by unbelief. But those who humbly listen and seek Him with all their heart will understand, because God promised, “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). Jesus also said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). True understanding is not just hearing with our ears but receiving His words into our hearts, keeping them with love, and obeying them. Those who love God treasure His word, and He opens their eyes to see and their ears to hear.

Doug,
I understand where you’re coming from, but we must be careful not to set aside what Jesus Himself commanded. He preached the gospel of the kingdom from the start of His ministry, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17), and He never said it would later be replaced. After His resurrection, He spent forty days teaching the same gospel of the kingdom to His disciples (Acts 1:3), and before ascending, He commanded them to “make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19–20).

Jesus said this gospel of the kingdom would be “preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). There is no other gospel in His words. He also warned that His words will never pass away (Matthew 24:35). The apostles faithfully carried out His command, teaching all He did and said (Luke 24:47–48).

It’s important to remember that Jesus alone is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). He did not give different gospels for different times. Those who truly love Him will keep His commandments (John 14:15) and hold fast to His teaching. The gospel of the kingdom remains the good news of salvation, offered to all who repent, believe, and follow Him until He returns.

Blessings

Israel said we will do all commanded (Exodus 19:8) .....they didnt and couldnt.....why do you think we can? If we could righteousness should have been by the law (Galatians 2:21) If we could why do we need atonement?
Paul gave us the way to fulfill the righteousness of the law...............[Rom 8:4 KJV] 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Very well but I was saying your statement was wrong in saying "He spoke openly in parables" which he didnt........never mind its ok

The kingdom was interrupted by this dispensation of grace but will resume in the future
