NATO Is Now Dead
Story by Andrew Latham
• 1d
Key Points - NATO, in its current form, is depicted as a "corpse," its strategic effectiveness undermined by decades of European defense underfunding ("free-riding") and US strategic overstretch.
-Most member states fail to meet spending commitments, rendering the alliance a hollow shell, a reality starkly exposed by the war in Ukraine where the US carries the primary burden.
-President Trump's approach is seen not as the cause of NATO's decline but as a catalyst for a necessary reckoning, forcing Europe to confront its defense responsibilities.
-A fundamental reset towards a European-led security framework, with US support rather than dominance, is essential for future relevance.
The Fall of NATO
NATO is a corpse. All that remains is the grotesque performance art of a diplomatic zombie stumbling from summit to summit, mouthing tired clichés about “shared values” and “burden sharing,” even as its core strategic logic lies rotting beneath the surface. The Atlantic Alliance, once the steel scaffolding of Western security, has become a hollow ritual. Its military readiness is an illusion. Its political cohesion is fraying. Its future, if it has one, lies not in revival—but in reinvention or replacement.
Hmm, I think Europe and the UK should be a lot more worried than the USA.If correct, America should be very concerned.
How will America face a Russian dominated Europe and a China dominated far east?
NATO is corrupt as Hell !![]()

they are worried, worried about having to find the means to pay for a realistic defence budget, worried that if putin decides to go for europe whether America will help.Hmm, I think Europe and the UK should be a lot more worried than the USA.
4 major power theatres-spheres of power are manifesting, in descending order.they are worried, worried about having to find the means to pay for a realistic defence budget, worried that if putin decides to go for europe whether America will help.
Only a child would think that Putin would want to take on West Europe !they are worried, worried about having to find the means to pay for a realistic defence budget, worried that if putin decides to go for europe whether America will help.
Putin only wants to safe guard Russia
I think you answered your own question, as in we have an effective powerful militarySo he attacks another independent country.
Historically Russia has always wanted access to an ice free port and a trade rout that is not controlled by another country.
Putin knows Russian history and will have the same economic drive.
If Russia and china represent no threat to the west, whether that's Europe or America, why does America have an armed force?
So your earlier reply to me is nonsense.I think you answered your own question, as in we have an effective powerful military

Putin was forced to enter the War in fact ! History proves this fact.So he attacks another independent country.

You do not understand do you.Really that is a distorted view of history as corrupt as Putins view of history.
For a more un biased view try:-https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj0q964851po
And Trumps view is any better? The UK Government games clearly could not give a rats about the people of Ukraine ! it's only about Oli Gas and the Money !
Yet you ignore the evidence that Putin started this war, and has repeatedly violated any truces.Russia wanted to do deals all the way
Now this is rich, a one party state wants elections in a country it is attacking, where large parts of the population have fled!Russia wanted to clear it up with the peoples rights to Vote
Then why mention it? What relevance does his ethic background have? Not to mention that Zelensky is a Talmud Jew !
Yet Zelensky won a landslide election on the bases of defending Ukraine from Russian aggression.Russia is not going away ! it's within it's rights and within the questioned Lands 80% of the people support to join and become part of Russia. with a Vote ! not lives
