Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate your prayers- I do not have the joy of the Lord, I have never had it, I had it for about 5 minutes right after I got saved and then it left and has never been back since. There must be a very good reason why I do not have it, I have been seeking God as to why but no reply as of yet. I do not have peace either. Please pray for joy and peace! Thank you!

Can you tell us what you have specifically tried, but to no avail?
Do you have a blessed life (can you count your blessings)? It may be that God is looking after you, but you are not aware of it.
Mother Teresa wrote that after she arrived in India, Jesus spoke to her, urging her to take on a special mission to help the poor. During those years she was seeking Catholic approval, Jesus would continue to tell her how important the work was going to be.
Then, after Papal blessing came and she was off and running, she said there was absolute silence, nothing more from God, and that was terrible. Yet she never gave up her work and exuded joy in all she did.
It might be inspiring to read and reflect on the lives of saints, most of whom had hard lives. They found God, and peace, by focusing on others, rather than their own difficulties.
May God be with you and help you with what you desire.
