I'd probably make a mess or complicate it by trying to explain, there are plenty of online articles about it and I would be more than happy to discuss various aspects of it with you once you had some specific questions.
Here is a great start
Thank you.

Is this statement accurate?
Classical dispensationalism sees a biblical distinction between Israel and the church; mid-Acts dispensationalism moves the dividing line to Acts 9. Before that time, what we might call the “church” was still a Jewish congregation under the law and distinct from what came later: the Gentile church (the body of Christ) under grace.

Question: How do your beliefs affect your understanding of the great commandments, in particular “Love your neighbor like yourself”?

Blessings.

Hello Sandy,
Paul didn't see it that way-

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law”
Romans 13:8 .

Also, in Galatians 5:14, Paul states, “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

This word. performance- I have been hearing it a lot lately. We are saved by Grace through faith in Jesus not by works. Amen?
We love HIM because He first loved us. Agree?
Love desires to obey the Lord's commands not to earn, but because our hearts are changed and we want to do what pleases Him.

How can we say we love Him and not obey Him? Is He not your Lord?

The church currently is the Body of Christ, where does Paul teach differently ?
Law fulfilled love your neighbor... We today are not justified by the law Gal 2 16
Performance, yes what we do in addition to faith, where does Paul teach performance is a justification requirement ?
This site has a lot of answers to where you are coming from, have a read & study.
If you re-read what I wrote you will notice I stated that we are saved by grace thru faith in Jesus.
Nowhere did I deny that the church is Christ's body either.
2 Cor 5:9-10
9Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

goodnight now..
