Howdy,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is will, willpower is my nickname in real life. I'm 21 and live in Illinois (USA). I've proclaimed to be a Christian since at least high school, but I truly didn't repent from my sins until very recently actually, 47 days and counting. I've been taught scripture my whole life since I grew up in the church and knew a lot about God and the Bible, Christian practices, etc... but this caused confusion later down the road as I didn't know if I was truly saved or not. About two years ago was when I realized I was living as an unbeliever, and that coming to Christ meant to repent of my sins as well as having faith, as both are commanded in scripture. I tried repenting but failed many times over, until more realizations were made that I wasn't truly seeking Christ and that I needed to seek God with a pure heart for his glory, and that my motivation for salvation and being free from sin was totally wrong. So here I am, 47 days later, continuing to repent from sins and temptations and seeking God.
I have been involved in various online ministries, being a leader in two of them, even while I was unsaved. I am a moderator of a different Christian forum (not saying which one since that'd be plugging
), and am a mentor on an online ministry to help other men be free of sexual sins.
I am currently a student going for two associate degrees (one being Network Administration and the other being Cisco Network Specialist). I should graduate next year, Lord willing! I am currently working as a junior network administrator and have been in the IT field for 7 years (since I was a freshman in high school). I plan to get professional certifications in A+, Net+, CCNA, and MCSA for starters. I might try to throw S+ in there as well.
Lately I've been discouraged in my faith, and being a leader in a few ministries has taught me that when I do good, evil is always by my side. When I say something good, someone negative is right there ready to pounce. I'm just looking for some good Christian uplifting fellowship so we can rejoice together in God.
If you have any questions, my life is an open book. I'd love to get to know you guys better!
