Didn't some group start that to get a cheap high? First find, then catch the toad .....I think find and catch a cheap date at a bar is a more challenging task ...
Some people will lick anything they think will give them a trippy high or even a low.
I dont see how a warning like that will stop certain people from trying just to see what happens.

Trying finding a cheap date at a toad licking bar, that might be more difficult ;)

Yo Dawg You can smoke toad skin as well, but such as they end up in the loony bin directly for life.
We had a plague of Toads in the 1970's, don't see them much anymore.
I was into lining them up with my wheels of my car, if they were facing the car you could make them pop ! Outside at night everyone would get a stick etc and flog them over the next door fence, the next morning one would look at how many lay dead only about 10% I would say.
On Fraser Island I seen the biggest Toads ever, you could make boots out of them. 12 inch long body nose to bum.
I have a few books showing the QLD Police with toad skin boots.
