The deal is done: Netanyahu and Gantz sign a coalition pact.
Deal ends 17-month political crisis Plan calls for annexation in July.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz sign a unity government agreement.

Israel will have a new coalition government after an agreement was signed on Monday evening between Likud and Blue and White, putting an end to a 17-month political stalemate that resulted in three elections.

As part of the deal, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has served as caretaker prime minister since December 2018, will remain prime minister for another 18 months and then will be replaced in October 2021 by Blue and White leader Benny Gantz, who will serve as vice prime minister in the meantime. Netanyahu will become vice prime minister under Gantz after that – but if he leaves the Prime Minister’s Office sooner, Gantz will take over.

“I promised the State of Israel a national emergency government that will work to save lives and livelihoods of Israeli citizens,” Netanyahu said.

Gantz expressed his relief that an election – which would have been held on August 4 if a deal was not reached by May 7 – had been averted.
“We prevented a fourth election,” Gantz said. “We will protect our democracy and fight against the coronavirus.”

US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, including its clauses enabling Israel to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, will be able to be implemented in July, when maps are set to be finalized.

The Likud and its satellite parties will receive the Finance, Health, Internal Security, Construction, Transportation and Education portfolios. Blue and White will receive the Defense, Foreign Affairs, Justice, Economy, Communications and Culture portfolios. The Knesset speaker will be from Likud.

The government is expected to have 36 ministers and 16 deputies, split equally between the Center-Right and Center Left. Besides Likud and Blue and White, the government will include Shas, United Torah Judaism, Labor and the Gesher Party of MK Orly Levy-Abecassis.

What is in Trumps Peace Plan:

The 29,000 word Plan contains two parts:
Part A is a political framework which proposes:

    * Redrawing the boundaries to incorporate the majority of Israeli settlements into Israeli territory and annexing the Jordan valley and the Golan. [section 4]

    * Recognizing ‘Al Quds’, which is the Arabic name for Jerusalem; as the capital of a future Palestine State, while also saying Jerusalem is the undivided Capital of the State of Israel. [section 5]

    * Requiring that the Palestinian people become fully de-militarized. [section 7]

    * Withdrawing any right of return by the Palestinian refugees.
    [section 16]

Part B contains an economic framework which promises to facilitate an investment in up to 50 billion over a ten year period.

Including; a road tunnel between Gaza and the West Bank and an artificial island off the coast of Gaza, to develop an airstrip and port facilities.

This idea has the seeds of conflict built into it. Here is the wording within the peace plan, which proposes that two nations which have always been in conflict will have their capitals in one and the same city:

"Jerusalem will remain the sovereign capital of the State of Israel, and it should remain an undivided city. The sovereign capital of the State of Palestine should be in the section of East Jerusalem located in all areas east and north of the existing security barrier, including Kafr Aqab, the eastern part of Shuafat and Abu Dis, and could be named Al Quds or another name as determined by the State of Palestine."

So on one hand the plan proposes an "undivided city". On the other hand it places a division right within the city. This simply will not work.

And from the Christian and biblical perspective it will not work also. Jerusalem is the "city of the Great King", and Jerusalem will be trodden down of the Gentiles until they are totally removed.

Furthermore, the Antichrist will have his own peace plan, which will make this obsolete. Therefore the only peace plan which is practical at the present time is to demand a total cessation of hostilities by the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. And that can only happen when the USA tells Iran it will be obliterated unless it stops its hostility to Israel (since it is Iran that keeps the pot boiling). At the very least the USA and Israel must jointly destroy Iran's military and nuclear capabilities. Then talk.

Agreed, -- so long as we anticipate Dan. 11:45 ...

45 And he shall pitch his palatial tents between the sea and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, with none to help him.

... where I anticipate that the U.N. will declare Jerusalem the International Capital of the United Nations, -- possessed by none, but accessed by all --.

    Or so it would seem,

Israel to annex West Bank territory in July:

Netanyahu described Trump's Middle East deal as a promise to recognise Israel's authority over settlements in the West Bank:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he was confident the United States would give Israel the approval within two months to move ahead with de facto annexation of parts of the occupied West Bank.

Netanyahu, in announcing a deal with his rival Benny Gantz last month to form a unity government, set July 1 for the start of cabinet discussions on extending Israeli sovereignty to Israeli settlements, illegal under international law, in the occupied West Bank and annexing outright the Jordan Valley.
Such a move would need to be agreed with Washington, according to the Netanyahu-Gantz agreement.

In a video address on Sunday to a pro-Israeli Christian group in Europe, Netanyahu described the Middle East plan announced by President Donald Trump in January as a promise to recognise Israel's authority over Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Palestinians have flatly rejected the Trump proposal, because it awards Israel most of what it has sought during decades of conflict, including nearly all the land on which Israel has built settlements.
The Palestinians have already threatened to cancel existing peace agreements if Netanyahu moves forward with his plan, while the European Union foreign policy chief said annexation would be a violation of international law and force the bloc to "act accordingly".

The United Nations Middle East envoy said: such a step would "ignite" the region.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday it was up to Israel whether to annex parts of the West Bank and said Washington would offer its views privately to its new government.

The Palestinians and much of the international community regard Israel's settlements in the occupied West Bank as illegal under the Geneva Conventions that bar settling on land captured in war.
Israel disputes this, citing security needs and biblical, historical and political connections to the land.

Thanks Keraz. Things are moving, -- possibly similar to when Israel announced it's Statehood in 1948.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has formed a new Israeli government that appears able and determined to carry out unilateral annexation of occupied Palestinian territory in the West Bank, with the approval of the Trump administration, within just months.

Any annexation would be carried out with the deliberate intention of preventing the creation of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel and a negotiated resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Not surprisingly, the United Nations and the European Union warned Israel not to annex any part of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli "liberal" commentators anticipate swift and terrible ramifications of a decision to annex parts of the West Bank. They have dark visions of an intensification of violence between Israel and the Palestinians and a severing of relations by Jordan and Egypt, which might even go so far as to nullify their peace treaties with Israel. They warn that the Gulf States that have been tacitly cooperating with Israel on security and intelligence fronts will end their cooperation; the European Union will condemn Israel in the strongest possible terms; scores of countries will recognize the Palestinian state; the BDS movement will significantly intensify; anti-Semitism will reach new heights; Israel will become a pariah state; and more.

These apocalyptic forecasts are a terrifying nightmare which, if true, should deter any rational policymaker in Israel from implementing annexation on even a small scale.

Consider the risk allegedly posed by annexation of the Jordan Valley to the Israeli-Jordanian peace agreement. The CIS has emphasized this risk on several occasions in a way that suggests an unbreakable bond between the Hashemite Kingdom and the Jordan Valley. In fact, the Arabic name of the Jordan Valley is Ghor al-Urdun, which refers to the Jordan River, not the state. Furthermore, on July 31, 1988, the late King Hussein formally announced his decision to politically disengage from the West Bank, leaving the PLO to fill the political vacuum.

In an interview on MSNBC on Sept. 29, 2019, King Abdullah issued a warning: "If the policy is to annex the West Bank, then that is going to have a major impact on the Israeli-Jordanian relationship and also on the Egyptian-Israeli relationship because we are the only two Arab countries that have peace with Israel.

It is true that Jordanian officials have made hardline statements about the US peace plan, but it appears their prime concern was possible harm to Jordan's status in Jerusalem. In King Abdullah's words, "Jerusalem is a red line; we are being pressured, but the answer will be a resounding No! The second consideration is the US call for naturalizing the Palestinian refugees in Jordan, which is considered by the regime as a severe threat to the throne and Jordan's stability."

The Jordan Valley was on the agenda of a meeting between Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Palestinian counterpart Riad Maliki on April 24. The ministers warned that an Israeli annexation of the Jordan Valley and settlements in occupied Palestine would "kill" the two-state solution and undermine chances of peace. They called on the international community to combat any such effort and avert a worsening of tensions – especially now, when united efforts are required to tackle the coronavirus crisis.

The dark prophecies proclaimed by "liberal" and "progressive" groups in Israel as well as abroad, as against the possible annexation of the Jordan Valley are overstated, and they obscure the strategic significance of the Jordan Valley to the security of Israel. As Netanyahu said: "The Jordan Valley has supreme importance in the context of the security of the State of Israel. The Middle East is unstable and violent. The Jordan Valley is a strategic defensive belt for the state, and without it, the fundamentalist flood could reach into Israel as far as the Dan region."

Would the US give its lands back to the Indians and to the Spanish? I don't think so. It's Manifest Destiny. Ultimately, its the people who live in an area, and in adjacent areas, who determine what they need to live, meeting their economic needs as well as their security needs. People who try to determine the destiny of Palestine from afar have a political-religious agenda, and do not meet the test of meeting the needs of the people *in the area.*

It is quite clear, from history, that the Jewish People have had a terrible time finding a place to establish their society in the world without being attacked by national majorities who are hostile to them. And it is quite clear that there are many places where Moslems and Arabs can find places to live in peace among majorities that favor their ethnicity and their religion.

This is all a ruse to destroy the presence of a relatively small ethnic group in the region that breaks the monopoly of religious control in the Middle East by Moslems. Israel has a connecting link to a superpower outside of the region, which essentially enables the Jews to establish their nation, neutralizing the threat of Arab countries around them.

This is a battle for the rights of people and their ethnicity. Who protected Blacks in the US when they were a persecuted minority? Did they have no right to defend themselves and to establish their own sovereign protection? Fortunately, the law and the Constitution in the US came to a late, but eventual rescue, after resistance and war. Establishing human rights does take protest. And establishing sovereignty does take war, at times.

I speak using the US as an example because that's where I live.

What most don't seem to realize, is that the Jewish State of Israel will be no more after the Lords Day of fiery wrath. The entire Middle East will be depopulated, cleared and cleansed. Uprooted and gone; as Jeremiah 12:14 tells us.

Isaiah 42:13-15 Long have I restrained Myself, I kept silent and held Myself in check, but now I groan like a woman in labour. I will make a great noise and devastate the earth. I will go forth in fury, as a soldier in the heat of battle, I shall burn the trees and pastures and make the holy Land a desolate wasteland. Joel 1:15-18

Jeremiah 49:2-5 A time is coming says the Lord, when the cities of Jordan will hear the battle cry: Amman will become a desolate mound and all their towns will be burnt to ashes. Do not boast of your strength, for I will bring terror on you from all sides , you will be driven headlong. Amos 1:13-15, Ezekiel 21:28-32

Jeremiah 49:17-18 The lands of Edom/Esau will become burnt and desolate, a destruction like that of Sodom will strike them. Isaiah 25:1-3, Amos 1:11-12

Jeremiah 49:23-27 In Syria, they have heard of the coming disaster, they run about in terror, pains like childbirth grip them. A fire will devour their cities and their military men will lie still in death on that Day. Amos 1:3-5

Isaiah 17:1 Damascus will cease to be a city, she will be reduced to a heap of ruins, forever desolated.... Amos 1:3-4

Jeremiah 49:34-37 I shall break the bow of Elam [Iran], I shall destroy the chief weapon of their might. I will scatter them to the four winds, My fierce anger and fiery wrath will make an end of them. Ezekiel 32:24-25

None of these plainly stated prophesies have happened yet. They will be literally fulfilled by:

Isaiah 13:6-8 Wail: for the Day of the Lord is at hand, a great devastation from the Almighty! Because of it, every hand will hang limp, courage will melt away. Fear and terror will come on people, agonizing pangs will grip them, like a woman in labour. Jeremiah 6:24, Ezekiel 7:17

Isaiah 30:30 Then the Lord will make His voice heard in majesty, His arm will descend in His fierce anger with devouring flames of fire amid cloudbursts and storm winds. Isaiah 30:26a tells us exactly what the Lord will use.

Jeremiah 9:22 Corpses will fall and lie like dung in the fields, no one will gather them.

Isaiah 37:26 Have you not heard? Long ago I planned it and now I bring it about. Your great cities have crashed into heaps of rubble.

For now; the best advice is:
Hebrews 10:25-27 Keep up your fellowship and encourage one another, as we see the Day of the Lord drawing near. For if we deliberately persist in sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth, then there can be no further atonement and there remains only a terrifying expectation of the fierce fire that will consume God’s enemies. Ref: REB. Some verses abridged.

Surely, we CAN see that the great and terrible Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath against the nations is drawing near. His Judgement/punishment by fire; Psalms 11:4-6
Is there any other possible and workable solution between Israel and the Islamic peoples? Populations keep increasing; resources keep diminishing, humans cannot resolve this situation, we need God to do it.

Look forward to the Day of the Lord’s wrath and pray to hasten it on.... 2 Peter 3:12

The Land is holy, but the current inhabitants are not. This situation is soon to change in a very dramatic way.
Shouldn't you as a Bible believer, know about it?

I don't think political Israel of today is the subject matter of the end time prophecies you refer to whether in the OT or NT.
When Jesus said 'your house is left to you desolate' his emphasis changed. Initially he referred to the temple(house) as his Fathers house, now he refers to it as 'your house'

He wept over Jerusalem exclaiming 'how often would I have gathered you as a hen gathers her chicks but you would not' ....he wasn't going to force their hand; they had made their choice. Centuries of God's pleading with them through the prophets had come to a close, their house was left desolate.
He told parables/stories to the effect of Israel rejecting the Son....and what's more, Israels leaders recognised that he was referring to them....they hated him all the more for it.

Irrespective of the outward show that Israel made of being pious, their rejection as a nation of their Messiah was final.

Land is made holy by God's presence, it does not become holy because someone tags the name 'holy' to it. (shouldn't you know that? ...Moses at the burning bush and other accounts verify this)
The Nation of Israel is anything but holy........they play by the same oppressive rules that the nations around them play....the very reason they were rejected as 'God's special people'

The mantel has now fallen to those who confess his (Jesus) name in truth....these are God's chosen people. It will be through these people that his name will be glorified (those which keep the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.....Revelation 12:17 14:12 19:10

The focus on Israel as a nation becomes the smokescreen to miss the unfolding events that matter.

No doubt you will quote me Romans 11:26 where Paul says all Israel will be be saved. Look at the context and how Paul uses the word Israel.
The context speaks of branches broken off and the possibility of them being grafted in again. It's referring to individuals within the nation of Israel who the same as the Gentiles can come to Jesus for salvation....soooo, all Israel (believing Gentiles and Jews) will be saved.
However, as a political nation they are done for as far as being 'God's people'

This idea is further underpinned in Romans 2

God is the God of the living, not the dead. God does work with a living and breathing Israel, because the promise to Abraham is Truth. All of Abraham's descendants will know God. Not the dead ones. They already know. God is not finished working with the live ones. Those alive right now in Israel.

Do you mean the dead ones like all those who died in the wilderness without entering the promised land because of unbelief? Do you mean the dead ones like those who paid off the Roman soldiers to circulate the false report that Jesus' disciples stole his body and later persecuted those who believed in Jesus to the death?

Paul, it is obvious is an exception to the rule as are all those of Faith.

The leaders in Jesus time prided themselves because of their genetic heritage (children of Abraham) but John the Baptist assured them that God could make children of Abraham from the multitude of stones in that place; effectively nullifying their claim as God's people based on genetic heritage. They were faithless in God's promises and therefore disqualified themselves from being children of Abraham.

Hebrews 11, the chapter on those with faith (God's people) 'for without faith it is impossible to please him' Hebrews 11:6, names like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Issac, Rahab, and so on Ruth included....none of these where Israelites.

As you no doubt should know, it was Jacob who had his name changed to Israel. Genetic Israel did not come into existence till that time.
To qualify this..... Jacob means deceiver. He was aptly named from the womb as recorded in the account of his birth and also in gaining the birthright from his brother Esau by fraud.
Israel however means to have wrestled with God and men and prevailed.
Yes, Jacob at the river Jabok alone, confessing his sins ie, recognising and acknowledging the events he saw about to unfold (Esau with 400 men on their way no doubt bent on revenge) grasped God's promise (at Bethel) to bless him. Wrestling with the angel (Jesus) at the river Jabok he refused to let him go till he received the blessing; even while in intense pain from a dislocated hip. (Read the story in Genesis 32 and 33)

Those of Israel are children of faith; those who grasp God's promises in spite of their sensory perceptions; irrespective of their national association....this is what Hebrews 11 is about.
In Jesus ministry his encounter with the Syro-Phenician woman is another case of an 'alien' belonging to Israel.....as Jesus had earlier stated, 'he had come for the lost sheep of the house of Israel'

Paul in his Epistles establishes this point again and again.

I am talking about all those who just died of covid19, all those who have died this year from other causes. I am talking about all dead humans.

The harvest of lost souls and saints has begun. The Second Coming is less than 3 years away. It is time for the body of Christ to repent and pray that God’s will be done in earth as it is in Heaven. That all should come to repentance. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all be saved. A global revival, because God loves the whole world. That means all can still freely choose to repent and turn to God.

You've lost me Timtofly. Any talk of setting dates for Jesus' return makes it clear to me that scriptural prophecies regarding this matter are not understood.....and if something so straight forward is not understood how is it possible for more complex matters to be understood.

The Second Coming is a set date, just like the first coming. It is the return of Christ prior to the Second Coming that is not known. The Rapture does not happen after the Second Coming. In fact the Rapture happens as the first harvest, because the church comes back itself at the Second Coming. It would seem that even the 144K who are not sealed until after the Rapture, themselves will be taken out, and return at the Second Coming. We are not told, because John was told not to put some events into the written part of Revelation. No one can add them back accept John, since He warned that any one else trying would be punished. It is all those false prophets trying to add things into Revelation that are not there, who in the last day, will be punished. They should repent and pray for God's will to be done, instead of the doctrine and added interpretations of fallen humanity.

Now those who delivered the 7 letters to the seven churches knew better, than to try and add their own twist. Folks today seem less troubled by the fact of the warning.
