LOL! I'm afraid the cat wouldn't be too happy with my bird. She would literally peck its eyes out. She isn't completely tame and will viciously peck anything that gets near her, especially hands. :(

My new avatar is a drawing my daughter made me of my bird. She's a parakeet named Birdie, who showed up at my doorstep out of nowhere two years ago. We called her Birdie because we didn't want to get attached to her since we didn't know if she would survive after being out in the wild, and we didn't want to keep her.

The ironic thing is that we didn't want a bird and tried to get rid of her. BUT GOD had other ideas! When no one would take her, we bought her a cake and resigned ourselves to having a bird. I have to say, though, that I have enjoyed her every single day!

Birdie has quite the personality for such a little thing. Sometimes, she coos at herself sweetly in her little mirror, but other times, she squawks so loudly that we have a hard time talking over her (as if she has something to complain about ). She has a bird friend outside, and when she hears her friend, she chirps loudly as if they are having a conversation, but she doesn't do this with any other birds.

We tend to ask God for many things, and we should ask our Father for the things we need and desire, and if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. And sometimes He blesses us with treasures we didn't ask Him for--total surprises!

Every day that I hear Birdie sing her cheerful song, I'm reminded of my Father's love! I don't know how He did it, but he brought me a precious gift that He knew I would enjoy for years to comes. He's a good, good Father...!

Yes He is a good good Father! I've one of my nieces living with me for now. She has the upper rooms...two bedrooms, one quite large. A half bath and a lot of space for storage. She brought her 2 cats and her bird. The bird sounds just like yours! And, she WILL take off the tip of your finger if yer dumb enough to put your finger there! Hahaha....she is a love bird and killed her husband! They were Beauty and Beast but...now my niece calls her beast  And, I too love her sounds. I also have 3 mini schnauzers but. the cats don't come far down the stairs, lol...and only the one of mine might get her nerve up to go up to their domain!

God has blessed me tremendously with His creatures

@Nancy God bless your time with you niece living with you; trusting it will be excellent for her spiritually.

My avatar just reminds me of the cat we lost a few years ago, he was only five. My favourite colour is purple - so not really any deep meaning to it . I have tried to change mine but just don’t know how to do it ( my daughter did the cat one for me ) Rita

I love your Avatar! But if ever you did want to change it...can you right click on a pic and save it to your computer, or phone? Then you could just click on your present avatar, and something should come up saying "upload photo" and...click on that and find your pic :) Just remember what you named it (click "save as" when right clicking on the pic you want to save...don't know if I confused you or me more
xx
