17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. - 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.
All through the scripture, did God change anyone. No he is not in the business of changing people. I remember when I was saved and that excitement and everyone telling..me God changed you thank God he changed you. Well that never did set right with me for some reason. It always made me feel like I was the special one..I was God's man of faith and power..I was the one he was after. And it just didn't set right with me..I could not pinpoint the feeling but I knew it wasn't right. Now of coarse your flesh will enjoy that for a season..when you feel like God could not make it without you and you were going to make an impact on the world and let them see! How God himself transformed you (some truth in that).. it is a huge build up to your ego. I had drivers..I had hair Hollywood can only dream of and I had the best suits and I was on my way to big time television...I felt like a celebrity getting their 15 minutes of fame. But something never set right with me..there was something I knew was not right. It wasn't just all the fan fair..it was God is not in the business of changing people. I didn't understand that at the time ..as understand it now.
Look at Adam and Eve..did he correct them when they failed..no he put them out..he threw them out of the garden!
Look at Moses God didn't change Moses..no sir he took him on a mountain and buried him for his disobedience. Keep nature in mind here!
Look at; humanity as we know it today.. what did he do with humanity..he took them to Calvary and killed them. Dead as his only begotten Son!
God is not in the business of changing people.
His business is not changing..but exchanging. He exchanged you..he did not fix you. He killed you and now you have new life in you by the great exchanger..Christ in you the hope of glory!
The gospel of correction that is in religion..those that try to fix you are wrong..they don't know what God did and heap their ignorance on you. If you do not go to scripture to find out who you are you can never live in this world as intended by God!
