My wife was talking to a friend the other day when the topic of being an organ donor came up. This friend said the she wasn’t an organ donor because she didn’t know what the bible says about it. The nice friend that my wife is says that I like to research topics like this in the bible. (There goes my wife adding honey do’s to the list).
However, I do like to know what scripture teaches us. In just getting started in this quest, I am having a hard time finding any supporting scriptures that can be applied to this. I thought maybe 1 Corinthians 10:31 could be applied;1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.Could you glorify God by donating an organ? When you’re alive or dead?A hypothetical situation I came up with:Suppose someone received an organ from that saved their life. This person didn’t know Christ before this donation. However, after the donation, because of the extended life made possible by this donation this person was to accept Christ as their personal Savior. I asked if this were, a possibility would it be worth it to be an organ donor?Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
