Love that Abram just went, and at seventy-five no less. "So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him" (Genesis 12:4). Makes me think faith is a lot of taking the next step before everything makes sense. Thanks for sharing this one.

Walter, the artwork's depiction of Abraham and Lot leaving Haran provides a distorted picture without showing their respective households also going with them. Abraham's household was around 2,000 plus people. Lot's household was probably of a similar number of people.

When Abraham continued down into Egypt, the Pharaoh was afraid of Abraham's and Lot's combined household and immediately sort a way to establish peace with Abraham through the seeking of a wife from the other party so that there would be peace because he was afraid of Abraham's ability to overpower him because of their combined standing fighting men. When the Pharaoh took Sarah to be his wife, he immediately sensed in his spirit that something was wrong and that a cloud of dread of becoming a candidate for the Second death was very real to him. When the Pharaoh realised that Sarah was in fact Abraham's wife, he immediately returned Sahar to Abraham and after giving gifts he sent Abraham's and Lot's households out of the land of Egypt.

But this is last paragraph is getting away from the story of Abraham leaving Haran.

Below is the applicable passage from Genesis which speaks about Abraham leaving Haran.

The image that you showed has this written below it when you link to their site: - "Create a biblical scene inspired by Genesis 12:4, where Abram, a Middle-Eastern man aged seventy-five, departs from Haran under the command of a divine influence. Alongside him, Lot, another Middle-Eastern man, also embarks on this journey. The landscape should reflect the ancient city of Haran, with hints of Middle Eastern architecture and geography. This composition should use vibrant and contrasting colors common in digital art. Remember, the exact verse is: 'So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.'"

The image you showed does not reflect what is recorded in Genesis 12:4-9.

The image also showed two (and possibly a third tower) towers which did not, in all probability, exist back when Abraham left Haran. Thess towers today are associated with Islamic Mosques and as such the image you inserted into your post gives a false message.

Shalom
