"Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:15-16
I was listening to the Bible tonight (audio) and had a small revelation that the lights are being kept into the churches and into small, solitary groups, while the rest of the world is turning dark. Much of the world doesn't go into the church, and the lights are being hidden and tucked away, but the light has to be spread out into the world in order to share the gospel.
I was thinking about this digital painting I made in Dec 2014, too, and this wasn't on my mind at the time when I did it, and never really understood it, but now the more that I started thinking about it and trying to figure out what I see. For some reason it was on my mind tonight.
I see a light and rivers of living water being spilled out into dark and lifeless places.
My prayer request for the world right now is that God will pour out his spirit and bring his light out into the darkness. Let the Christians sing his name and praise him in the streets.
