Right division simply allows the Bible to say what it says. Right division explains the Bible, rather than explaining it away.
Right division recognizes that there are two programs found in the Bible. God's purpose for Israel and the body of Christ are distinctly different. God was reconciling heaven and earth to himself.
[1Ch 29:11 KJV] 11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
The kingdom of God is composed of both the earthly and the heavenly. This verse says heaven and earth is the kingdom.
[Rev 5:10 KJV] 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
[Exo 19:6 KJV] 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
[Rev 20:4 KJV] 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
The believing remnant of Israel will inherit the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth and will reign with Christ. The remnant will be kings and priests unto God.
Note that in Exodus 19:6 God is specifying that Israel will be a kingdom of priests, not the church today.
[2Ti 4:18 KJV] 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The body of Christ, the church, will be in heavenly places.
[Mat 4:23 KJV] 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
The gospel of the kingdom was preached to Israel by the Lord Jesus Christ.
[Mar 1:14-15 KJV] 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
The gospel of the kingdom is defined above by Jesus saying the Davidic earthly kingdom was at hand. This was not the gospel preached by Paul.
[Mat 24:14 KJV] 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Isn't it interesting that in the above verse Jesus says this gospel rather than the gospel and in so doing differentiates the gospel of the kingdom from Paul's gospel of grace.
Also, the gospel of the kingdom is not preached today in this dispensation but will be preached in the tribulation.
[Gal 2:7-8 KJV] 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as [the gospel] of the circumcision [was] unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
Peter was the apostle to the circumcision, the Jews. Paul was the apostle to the uncircumcision, the Gentiles, and as such, taught differing gospels.
[Col 1:20 KJV] 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.
Christ, by the cross, has reconciled all things in heaven and earth to himself.
[Gen 12:2 KJV] 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
God established Israel to be a blessing to the nations; through Israel the nations would come to God.
[Mat 5:14 KJV] 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
God established Israel to be a blessing and a light to the Gentile nations of the world.
[Mat 15:24 KJV] 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
During Christ's earthly ministry he only ministered to Israel.
[Rom 15:8 KJV] 8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers:
Jesus Christ came as a minister to Israel to fulfill the promises of God to Israel, bring in the kingdom of heaven to earth, and establish Israel as that light to the nations.
Israel rejected Christ and stones Stephen in Acts 7.
[Eph 3:3-4 KJV] 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Christ raised up Paul in Acts 9 to be Apostle to the Gentiles and reveal the mystery.
[Act 13:46 KJV] 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
God set Israel aside temporarily and turned to the gentiles.
[Col 1:25-27 KJV] 25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 [Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
God has interrupted the timeline to establish his Kingdom by the dispensation of the grace of God, to which Paul has been made a minister to the Gentiles.
[1Co 15:1, 3-4 KJV] 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; ... 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Paul preaches his gospel in this dispensation, by which both Jew and Gentile are saved by simply believing it and trusting Christ for a completed salvation unto eternal life.
Christ paid in full the penalty for our sin and rose again to give us eternal life and the forgiveness of sin. The Lord Jesus Christ is our complete salvation.
[Jer 31:31 KJV] 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Israel failed to keep the first covenant. The LORD will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and Judah.
[Mat 26:28 KJV] 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
[Heb 9:15 KJV] 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Jesus came to fulfill all that was written and shed his blood on the cross for the remission of sins Israel committed under the first testament. Jesus died to put in force the new testament.
[Eze 36:24-28 KJV] 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do [them]. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
The blood of the new testament put in force the new covenant promised Israel.
In the kingdom on earth Israel will be cleansed and will keep the law.
[Act 3:19 KJV] 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Jesus will blot out all sin from the believing nation of Israel and forgive all their iniquities.
[Eph 1:9-10 KJV] 9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:
God will have fulfilled his ultimate purpose; heaven and earth will be reconciled to himself, and all things will be gathered together in one in Christ.
Right division acknowledges that God has a purpose and promises for Israel that differ from those for the body of Christ.
Right division acknowledges that Paul's gospel is not the same as the gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus and the twelve.
Right division acknowledges that the instruction and commandments for the church today are found in Paul's epistles (Roman through Philemon).
