Dear Parents,

It may be difficult to learn that your child is to be born with deficiencies in physical and cognitive areas. Just know that God has a plan for your bravery and patient endurance. Remember that those who are to be counted amongst the greatest in the kingdom of heaven are those such as children, without guile on their tongues nor pride in their hearts. For their angels always see our Lord's face. And when life is swallowed up in immortality, just know that you will have the strongest of advocates in the Lord's kingdom. For your service to such children in this life will be looked upon as one of greatness in acts of mercy and compassionate Love, and you will meet with such angels keeping watch over them in heaven, and there will be Joy overwhelming. Your recompense will be immeasurable. Your Love will be returned 100 fold. Be strong and wait [trust] in the Lord.

Somehow or other, handicapped children end up being a blessing..even though there is heartache and physical tiredness and emotional tiredness through it all.

You're 100% right and I speak from experience.
No one knows what it's like...but God does and somehow He gives us the strength, even though at times we might be distressed...this is a feeling that God helps us to overcome.
