2 Peter 1:4 (NASB)
For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

“partakers of the Divine Nature”

This is the difference that scripture puts forth as the difference between those that are God’s and those that aren’t. One being partakers of the Divine Nature the others are not partakers of said Nature.

This Divine Nature is that in scripture that is also called the new birth, or the new creation and again Christ being formed in us. All these are talking of the same truth. It is bringing this new nature to growth and maturity in us that is that which the heart of God is set upon and what the Christian life is all about.

For to this end was the Divine Nature given, that it would grow and be the ruling power of life in the life of the believer.

For in obedience to the good or the Divine Nature is what we are called to. To choose the good in all things. For in this, the good, can the love of God be both freely given and received. This is the freedom and glory we have been called to. This constant growing of this new Divine Nature in us. This is our “Christ in us” this new life that is ours that scripture speaks of. This new life that has the same law of the Spirit of Life that is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, this same law, lives and rules freely in the Divine Nature, which Nature was freely given to us in Christ.

It is the wanting of this and being made to want this above all things that the workings of God in our lives are to that end. For our faith is that that brings this Nature to growing. For the heart can only have faith in that that it truly wants.

“For by these”

His promises,

and the wanting of these promises manifested in a life is that that God’s heart is set upon. For He is not slack concerning His promises, to the heart that would;

By the simple faith of the heart grab onto God’s promises with all their heart.

Blessings to all that would be willing to grab onto God’s promises that the New Nature might be a ever growing reality, and become the ruling power in their lives.

Much love in Christ, Not me

Not saying that you're right or wrong, but consider reading 1 Peter 1:3 & 4 first.

There are no contradiction in truth. They all flow together seamlessly, for they all speak of God’s love and dealings with man.

But if you see things differently I wish you all the love of Christ as we grow up into Him in all things.

Blessings,
