Polynesian Rosary Beads

Why do people need beads for that? Meditation is part of the Christians life but ot all of us use beads.

When the rosary was first used there were 150 small beads and they were used to help monks and nuns to memorize and pray the psalms while they worked. Beads have been used in prayer for a long time - there is nothing wrong with using them. People have been praying to their own gods for much longer than Christianity has existed and we do not worry about using a pagan practice by praying with or without beads

why isnt this just called "Catholicboard.com" like it should be, i wonder?

I agree. We need to talk about the things we have in common. The problem I have run into is, certain Catholics and certain SDA that will remain unnamed because we all know who they are, tend to highjack threads and turn them into a Reformation fight.

I think I am done identifying myself as Catholic on this board - I’ve been here a long time and it is not like people do not know. However, if a topic like the rosary gets posted and it is not an attack, I may comment.
