A pefect christan has no need of Christ, and gives one reason to boast of his works, teh imperfect christian cries out to Jesus daily because of His flesh and glorifies God when he is set free. I hear lot bout the sinless christian just never met one.

Interesting. I don't ever recall using the word "sinless" so if you hear that a lot, I don't think its coming from me.

I cant see why you think this is not a threat and many more which tommy posted.
You think it says more about me. What does it say about me. The scriptures are correct. tommys explianation of them is a threat.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,” (1 Corinthians 6:9, NKJV)

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (James 4:4, NKJV)

Look, the above verses were written to believers and were inspired by God. I don't think tommy's comments seem overly harsh. He doesn't condemn anyone. He says that Christ died to set people with this addiction free, but those who indulge in it and excuse it as "normal" are in danger of condemnation. Jesus said that a person cannot love both God and money. I think Tommy is also right that a person cannot love God and porn. Again, I don't think anyone is saying that if someone looked at porn, they will go to hell. However, there is a real danger that someone who continues to excuse a lifestyle of pornography, lust and immorality are in danger of being condemned. What good it it to call Jesus "Lord" and indulge in sexual immorality on a daily basis? I think such a person is kidding themselves.

Moreover, I don't think this is a "threat" to anyone. It is a view that this sin is dangerous and can lead to condemnation. No one is saying, "[insert name] is going to hell." That would be condemning someone. It is just being said that indulging in unrepentant and ongoing indulgence in sexual sin is very dangerous and inconsistent with someone who has the Holy Spirit. So if anything is being condemned, it is the sin of pornography...not any individual. If a person feels convicted by tommy's words, then that is on them. I don't see Tommy naming names or threatening anyone.

We are holy now. It does not happen when we get holy. You have no scripture for things happen when we Get holy.
I am holy now samctified now. I am justified now. I am hidden in Christ now. I am and aire now. I am a joint aire with Christ Now.
We aint getting holy by our own process.

That is not true. The Bible speaks of sanctification as both an event when we get save AND a process after salvation. I like how this author puts it.

"God’s word exhorts Christians to “be holy” (1 Pet 1:15), to “be perfect” (Matt 5:48), to grow in grace (2 Pet 3:18), and to work out our salvation (Phil 2:12). Such exhortations are abundant, e.g., “Do not let sin reign in your mortal body” (Rom 6:12). “Abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thess 5:22). “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil.… Cleanse your hands, you sinners” (Jas 4:7–8). “Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good” (Rom 12:9). “Be imitators of God” (Eph 5:1). “Glorify God in your body” (1 Cor 6:20). “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness” (Matt 6:33). The very fact that such exhortations are addressed to us shows not only that we have an obligation to obey them, but also that we have the free-will ability to obey them. Sanctification is thus our responsibility, and it will happen only as a result of our own decision and effort."

Jack Cottrell, The Faith Once for All: Bible Doctrine for Today (Joplin, MO: College Press Pub., 2002), 342.

Certainly God gives us his Spirit to empower us to do these things and we do not do them on our own. However, we do participate in our sanctification. It is Both a present reality for the believer and an ongoing pursuit as we strive to take hold of that which Christ has already achieved on our behalf through faith.

No the OP stated you are going to hell if you look at porn. and you agreed. I dont care if he said far to mant are being robbed of Gods glory and God is being robbed becaue of a vile disgusting thing/sin etc. Its the damnation he briought with His own words that ARE NOT scripture.

I don't think you read his post very carefully. He didn't (nor did I) say a person goes to hell if they look at porn.... Lets look at some of what he actually said...

These powerful verses should dispel the notion that porn watching is OK with God! It’s so disheartening to see so many pastors, young and old men, addicted to one of the must selfish, self-indulgent, and lustful addictions known to man.
And how can you be an imitator of God, and addicted to porn at the same time?

Pastors, ministers, many married men who claim to be of God, as well as the youth, they have no power over it, and no desire to forsake it in repentance, so they can have that power through the shed blood of Christ!

Some will say it’s a disease, other will say its normal, and still others especially the porn watching church will say, “all men do it” “it’s every man’s battle”

To say that porn watching is ‘normal” or just something men do, and it’s not like actually committing it in the flesh, or not really adultery, is taking the words of Jesus Christ, and making them of no effect.

And who are you going to run with? The vain things of this world (porn) that will drag you to hell, or with Christ, who loved you enough, and died to set you free once and for all!

Maybe I am misunderstanding Tommy (I don't think I am) but I don't see him saying that if a person ever looks at porn they will go to hell. He is saying that those who claim to be Christian and indulge in it, say its "normal," excuse it as a disease or that everyone does it are deceived. He is saying it is dangerous and those who "run with" this kind of lifestyle are in eternal danger and are ignoring the words of Christ and faith in Christ. He clearly says at the end that a person can run with porn or Jesus and we get to choose. He didn't say if you ever looked at porn you can't run with Jesus. He says you can't love porn and Jesus at the same time...and I agree with that. A person needs to choose and can't make excuses so they can persist in this kind of wicked behavior.

I don't see anything wrong with these ideas. I think they are biblical and it is an important word for people today who think they can sow to the flesh and reap from the Spirit.
