Always so thankful for "the peace that passes all understanding". It is a covering to my mind and heart. Even in tribulations, we can have God's peace.

6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6

1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5

13And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Putting this verse in the right context: -

6 For to be carnally minded is {the second} death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6

The peace of God. Like everything in Christianity it is a fine balance between receiving and actively seeking.
God does give peace in times of trouble, but it is a pea e we have to seek, we have to consciously trust God in our troubles. Not for peace or anything but when the world has come crashing down on one, then it is a case of just crying to God, to trust in him.
Then one gets the strength, the peace to continue for another moment before needing to call out to God.

Amen!!....it’s a peace that can’t be explained.....you just know it’s Gods peace in your heart.

Praise Him in All Situations......he started a work in us and he will bring it to completion.

Philippians 4:7
There is a big difference between those who live life in the flesh and those who live life in the Spirit. Unbelievers live in the flesh. They “have their minds set on what the flesh desires” (Romans 8:5) and live to satisfy these desires. This type of living is called being carnally minded, and it leads to death. The Christian, on the other hand, lives a life “in accordance with the Spirit” and has his mind “set on what the Spirit desires.” A life governed by the Spirit “is life and peace” (Romans 8:6).
