In 2016, Mr. Obama will be ending his term as President. If the election were held today, it looks like Hillary Clinton would be the nominee for the Democrats. We have no idea who the Republicans would nominate.
Democrats - Would you agree that Hillary is the best choice or would you prefer someone else?
Republicans, 3rd Partyers, or Independents - Who would be your choice?

until reform happens, we are at risk of electing a dictator, no matter which party is voted in. The president has too much power.

BiggAndyy - Chris Christie is a Republican - although he probably would do well as a Democrat.

Aspen2 - The President does NOT have too much power - Democrat or Republican. The Constitution puts limits on his power - rather nicely.

You beat me to it, Aspen. The Constitution has been trampled by the Executive branch. Many think that we are under siege, right now in a "peaceful" way. LOL

Aspen2 - If you choose to live a life filled with paranoia - then so be it.
If ignorance is bliss, you must be a thoroughly contented individual, John S. Just because someone is paranoid doesn't mean there's no one out to get them.

It's a rare day when Aspen2 and I see eye to eye, however, his latest posts have been very astute and extremely prescient. I also applaud his refusal to watch television (a true weapon of mass distraction).

As to the topic at hand, it is apparent IMO that the entire electoral process has been corrupted and whomever wins does the bidding of 'the powers that be'.

I agree. However, I need to make sure I am not being paranoid. I believe the election was rigged. When I went in to vote, the lady attending me asked me how I was voting. When I said I didn't understand her question she said are you voting democrat or republican. Well, she caught me off guard so I quickly responded republican, instantly realizing my error. She then handed me my card and pointed me to my booth. I voted republican all the way down except for one, where I voted democrat. I voted on officials I wanted in office whom I deemed had Christian values. Then I looked for laws I wanted passed but couldn't find any anywhere. Weren't there suppose to be any ? I could be wrong, but since I wasn't sure, I QUICKLY went forward and backward looking for them. It was then this lady came up to me and informed me I was taking too long and just stood there watching me vote. Now, I am a fast reader, and had a 4.0 in high school--I WAS NOT TAKING LONG AT ALL. This woman bullied me into wrapping up my voting process. All this leads me to believe one thing. RIGGED.

Edward Snowden for President!

He displays qualities a President should have. Caring more for the American people, truth and the rule of law than his own life. Those are supposed to be the qualities of a great leader (Commander in Chief).

I hope the Republican's never win another election!
They are un-American and want nothing more than for Obama to fail.

But if one does win I hope it's Christy.

Cruz and Rubio will be right in there with Christy.

Yeah, so? He wants to turn America into a Democratic Socialist State. I oppose that. So what's the problem with me wanting him to fail? Didn't you just get done wishing Republicans fail at Presidential Elections??? For a black sheep you are appearing as just another bleating mindless sheep.

obama has disappointed me - no doubt, but we are farther from socialism than we have been since the 70s. deregulation of the airlines, energy, the post office to name a few are proof of this fact.

He's certainly become a hero and patriot in my book. I find it hilarious that statists like Dick Cheney and John Bolton are calling him a traitor. It brings to mind many of our founding fathers who were also called traitors when they opposed a tyrannical regime. No, I don't believe he would make a good president, but even he would be better than Obama.
Oh, and it should also be pointed out that he's 29...as in too young to be president.
