It is impossible for Paul to have been speaking of himself at the time of writing in Romans 7.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Paul could not have been an unfaithful double hearted sinning Christian at the time of writing all of Romans, nor any of his epistles. Only holy men of God are fit vessels for the Master's use, having pure hearts and blameless living to speak the pure and holy words of God.

The Bible always gives easy simple answers to any Christian debate. Especially when it comes to sinners attacking His prophets and apostles as being just as much sinners as themselves.

Romans 7 was an entire chapter of not just Paul, but of God speaking of the wretchedness of double heartedness toward Himself. Afterall, it's God's words speaking to us, not just Paul's personal mind on such matters.

If Paul ever was double hearted in the faith as a Christian, which is not unheard of, then it certainly wasn't while writing any of God's words to His churches. And so any Christian sinner's accusation that Paul was a double hearted Christian for life, is obviously false.

Those wanting to justify their unfaithful Christian sinning for life, will need to go elsewhere than Paul while writing holy words of God as a holy man of God.

Blessings Ghada. Any one who stands before the Lord's Presence realizes how wretched they are and how Holy He is. His love penetrates ever fiber of ones being. Even the prophets knew this.

God is in the business of his plan. His ways are higher than ours and he does not see as man sees with the eyes of flesh. All have sinned and fall short of his glory, yet he uses an humble, contrite willing vessel to further his plan.

People who sinned in the Bible that God used despite their sin, include King David,(adulterer/ conspirator of murder)Apostle Paul (consented to the murder of Stephen & persecuted the first believers) Elijah & Jonah (both wanted God to kill them for they were displeased with his decisions), Rahab (the Prostitute, who protected the spies of Israel) and others. These people all committed "very bad" sins, but God forgave them all and used them for his glory. God's mercies, grace and loving kindness are amazing!

God can make any holy for his use .

We are too quick to judge & condemn any that fail to meet our standards.
Who are we but a flower that fadeth, here today, gone tomorrow.A vapour on the wind!

It is time we cleanse our own vessels and leave others to the Holy Spirit!

John 16
8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9] Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11] Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

2Timothy 2:
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

Romans 9: Hath NOT the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

FINAL JUDGEMENT will be by the knowledge of God !

Paul was referring to himself as the language clearly indicates. This was Paul's thorn in the flesh as discussed in 2 Cor 12: "all manner of concupicense"
