"The US says it will live stream its first firing squad execution by the military since World War II. Nidal Malik Hasan, a former army psychiatrist who shot and killed 13 people [and wounding 32] at the Fort Hood military base in 2009, was sentenced to death in 2013. The execution is set to take place on December 3."
US army's first firing squad execution since WW2 to be public
The United States's first execution by a military firing squad since World War II will be live streamed, the Pentagon has said.
Even among those who accept capital punishment as a lawful penalty, an execution being live streamed raises some concerns.
I imagine it will not be live streamed on platforms such as YouTube but will be live streamed with limited circulation so that any of the hundreds of family members who had loved ones shot on that day can watch if they so choose.
Many other people are outraged about this treasonous attack on our service men & women, and will watch to see that justice is enforced.
If a person accepts capital punishment, should they be willing to see it carried out?
The death penalty has been discussed in other threads, so I would like to see this one confined to discussing a Christian response to a PUBLIC execution.
