1. (Although I don't do this myself) Is it true that somebody could find out who you are just by posting a picture of yourself?

2. Is it true that reposting somebody else's pictures (not classified as identity theft) is illegal? Cause I made a tribute for somebody after they lost their cat as a surprise, and it's not like I didn't tell them about it because I showed it to them afterwards as that was the whole entire point and they loved it anyways.

Called common use laws as far as pictures go. Like posting verse images and stuff. You can use those off the internet and that is fine. If it has someone's picture in it, that is when you have to be careful.

And prolly so finding out who you are. Technology these days.

Oh okay so in other words a picture of somebody else's cat wouldn't be an issue,.. but what do you mean about the second part?

I think it would be hard, but if you ever have had like a picture ID made or something, there is probably technology for like missing persons. Like facial recognition technology. I don't think the normal person can unless they are blood hound detectives. LOL

Anyone can take a photo and do a reverse image search and it will show them whatever website has the same photo. That's easy to do.

You can try it.

Reverse Image Search - Find similar Photos Online [Free]

If you keep your one photo limited to just that one site, nobody will find you anywhere else. Unless they recognize you.

If you got the image from Facebook, the person posting the content usually legally owns it, so you're supposed to ask the photographer or give credit for the content.

Cat photos, however, are meant to be shared with the WORLD.

Lol thanks but yeah it is that one website. :) (And no I didn't get it from Facebook, I got it from Roleplay.me. So sounds like I didn't do anything wrong. :) )
