The man needs to repent and confess Jesus as Lord, if he’s already done that then how do you explain his actions?
He gave in to his flesh. Quoting Matthew: 41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Just because a person has confessed Jesus as Lord does not mean that he'll never sin again. We are weak and we often fail - either by what we do (as in the case of the Deacon) or by what we fail to do (ignore the plight of the poor). But God is merciful & just and quick to forgive IF we repent and ask for His forgiveness.
