I saw two raccoons this morning on my walk and was about 5 feet away from them as they were hiding in a drainage ditch. Couldn't see them till I got right up on them. I backed away slowly and they just kept staring at me. Anyways saw this also on the news this morning and thought it was cute:

We had a toy poodle for 17 years. I took her out to get the newspaper one morning and spooked a family of raccoons ....Up the tree went a Mom and three pups. They were at eye level. I picked up Risma, held her and explained .......That Mom would destroy you. So we leave them alone in the yard and let them live here as well. Don't mess with the raccoons .....
