I agree, it is God that does the healing, but we are His children with Him inside us. If you can ever get a hold of that truth, your words have power. And our commands, even more.
I don't see it this way scripture plainly states that the kingdom comes in power not in words. Paul understood this when he wrote I'll come too you shortly and see who among you has this power, because he knew who possessed the power to hold the tongue possessed the kingdom.

Power is authority under the control of Christ. Bringing the one in submission to Him into a place of humility.

Acts 16:18
And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.

Paul knew who he was in Christ.

She was hindering the gospel, I personally can't see how a pet can hinder the gospel. I could see how it could be seen as an opportunity for me to endorse my self though.

That was a demon he cast out which is one of the authorities of Mark 16:17-18. We can command healing as well, as it is listed also. And as far as the snakes and poison idiom, I've claimed protection and was amazed at the miracle I received. But I think you said some keys words here "I personally can't see."

It actually made me thing about this show. Here is a clip. Can you think what it could be?

It looks like a satire on odd job businesses. We had rubbish to be removed from our church and we called up an outfit called "Junk to Go", and it was an old guy and his son and a very large truck. They certainly did a good job of it.

You didn't get it. In your video all the sons had the same name. That's what made me think of this show. (Bill Sanderson, the brother who does all the talking was an old friend of mine, and so was Tom Poston, so I got to see the taping of the show.)

Because it is clear in Scripture that we continue to sin, we are not perfect in this life. That's how I know. We are not yet glorified.
Yet even before Jesus was born to Mary in Bethlehem we read this about Job:

"There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil" Job 1:1

What does God mean by "perfect"?

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matt 5:48

Did Jesus tell us to do something that was impossible?

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

Do you have another detour around this to satisfy your preconceived set of beliefs? I am sure that you do. One day soon perhaps you will stop leaning on your own understanding and trust in the Lord alone. You see these differences between us yet, you refuse to go to the Lord directly for answers instead of falling back on your own rigidly set doctrines.

Every year many thousands of people yell and holler and clap in applause WATCHING PERFECT FOOTBALL PLAYERS !!! (they call them perfect at times) (or other actors, any day)....

But fail to recognize , (maybe because they never see?) the perfect assembly of Ekklesia, as SEEN IN SCRIPTURE. (and rarely today, just as it was rare then)

Before people organized into a religious group supposedly tolerated real believers apparently stood out like a sore thumb. From the time that men organized them it was not so easy I am sure for unbelievers to see a difference they could identify. Probably when they were identified by someone, often the organized church itself, the result for them might be similar to the final result for Joan of Arc.

I hear you about football. I don't say much about it because I am not against the game. I am against someone who says he is a follower of Christ but who at times put football first in front of God. Now things are subdued for a time, but usually many church buildings are nearly empty while the stadiums are overflowing... and this on the day when most people, who do attend, attend church services. What is to be first for us? Help us dear Lord!

Study the words, Bible wasn't written in English.

I call them "verseologists." They write their own doctrines by melding half a dozen contexts into one false narrative then they say "See?"

"This verse over here says perfect. So does this one. Oh! I remember one in Matthew too. Now, sift them from context, add a cup of eisegesis, mix them together thoroughly to your desired consistency, and voila! Sounds right to me, tastes good too! Hey, look what I made up! Try it, you'll like it!"

Oh, but I already have my friend. People presume that the word 'perfect' as per scripture equals the word 'perfect' as per modern English. I have checked it for each verse where it is used in English Bibles as well as against a lexicon as well as against the German and Spanish Bible translations. But... I suspect that as in the past you don't really want to consider where I am on this. Rather you simply presume you are correct, [as we all do as per Solomon's inspired writings] without considering any other possibilities. Do you really believe that everything you know or believe that you know about scripture is correct? How long has it been since you read all of the Bible for yourself with an open mind and heart rather than to bolster up what you have already built?

And here we go again with your standby "You see through a glass darkly and therefore cannot be correct since you don't share my view, how dare you question me!" Broken record.

He wants you to be carried about by every wind of doctrine like he is. For the record he believes Mormonism is biblical Christianity. You? Not so much. ;)

How dare I question you? Would you really rather that I bow meekly before you and take up your pathway because you say to do so?
You certainly do not sit back and bite your tongue. I do not expect that from you and you do not disappoint.
