Sam Shamoun, who does Christian apologetics especially with Muslims, tells this touching story about his childhood.

Yes I watch Sam. From a nuts and bolts perspective of proving doctrines from Scripture nobody is a better Apologist. He knows the Bible backwards and forwards, inside out and right side out, and all other possible directions and ways. Probably the closest thing to someone having photographic memory of not just the text, but the Lexical terms and can read Hebrew and Greek. I think he gained some advantage growing up Assyrian even though his family was not really heavily church going, but having an Eastern language early in life helps when it comes to reading another Semitic tongue like Hebrew and old Aramaic.

The only real issue with Sam, is he is very sharp tongued when it comes to rebuking trolls, especially Muslims, nonTrinitarian Christians and related modern sects and that can be a put off for many. Even in my encounters with him, he appeared a little bit rude towards some of my comments. He basically has higher standards for folks watching his channel than anybody else, expecting you to carefully watch everything and that is just not realistic for most people given the length of his videos and how prolific he is at putting them out.

And he sure knows the Quran and the Hadiths, too.... better than the Muslims!!

But yes, he can get a little sharp sometimes.
