LOL, I meant for the Trump decision on executive priviledge.

Looks like Alvin Bragg's win is starting to turn the polls to Biden.

OR that expletive ad in PA and I am sure nationwide that Trump was responsible get rid of Roe and this man wanted his daughter to be able to have an abortion if she wants it since she is of the age to breed. (Good grief... if I wanted to do things at a young age my dad would not support me other then the back of a hand across my face and grounded until today)

NO not that crude but that is the message.

Thing is abortion is legal in PA still and no reason to be running that ad here other the to get to those people to hot to say no?

The world knows Alvin Bragg, Judge Juan Merchan, and the hand picked jury were on a political witch hunt for Trump

The case is on appeal and will be reversed, it was a complete kangaroo court, with Merchans 55 biased pages of Jury instruction, not allowing for Trump's defense to bring witnesses before the jury "Mistrial"!

I don't know what polls your watching, but I've seen Biden being crushed in many states he supposedly won in 2020

Voters aren't ignorant of the fact Biden had classified top secret info in his garage and personal office without being charged, all in the same breath Donald Trump is charged

It's a Banana Republic and the world knows it

Forbes...

KEY FACTS

Biden leads Trump by two points in a Fox News survey released Wednesday, a three-point swing since the network’s May survey—among a streak of five polls since mid-June that show Biden beating or tied with Trump.

Biden is up one point over Trump in Morning Consult’s weekly survey for the second week in a row
after previously trailing Trump for a month, and Trump and Biden are tied in an Economist/YouGov survey released Thursday.

The two are tied in a PBS/Marist poll released Tuesday that found Trump has lost six points with independents compared to the groups’ May survey taken before his conviction, while Biden has gained eight points and now leads Trump by two points among independents; the Fox poll also shows Biden leading by nine points among independents.

Thirty-two percent of independents said they’re less likely to support Trump after he was convicted in Manhattan last month on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, according to a Politico/Ipsos poll released Monday that found 33% of voters overall said they’re less likely to support Trump, including 9% of Republicans.
A June Times/Siena survey also found Trump’s lead has declined one point and Biden’s has increased one point among the same group of 2,000 voters polled in April and May, before Trump was convicted last month by a Manhattan jury, though Trump still leads Biden 47% to 46%, the survey found.
Polls consistently show the conviction is a low priority for most voters in making their decisions about who to cast their ballots for in November—the Politico/Ipsos poll found 53% said it’s not important to their voting decision, while 61% of respondents in a Reuters/Ipsos poll released last week said it won’t impact their vote—but in a race that remains marginally close, the slightest shift in voter sentiment could impact the outcome in November.
A CBS/YouGov poll released June 9 also found the majority, 55%, of likely voters said Trump’s conviction isn’t a factor in their voting decisions, and six other issues, including the economy, crime and border, outrank the conviction by double digit margins in terms of importance to voters.

APPEAL... from Forbes.... Trump Likely To Appeal Guilty Verdict—Here’s What To Expect As Process Plays Out

KEY FACTS

Trump’s attorney Todd Blanche told CNN Thursday night that Trump’s legal team plans to file motions challenging the verdict before formally appealing the case, noting they will “vigorously fight” and file motions challenging “things that happened in the trial that we think just made the trial unfair.”

( My note: Sentencing is still on for 7-11)

If those fail to affect Trump’s guilty verdict at all, then “as soon as we can appeal, we will,” Blanche said, suggesting they could argue that the timing and location of the trial in Manhattan were unfair to Trump and the pre-trial publicity about the case “made it very difficult” for the jury to “evaluate the evidence … independent of what they knew coming in.”

Trump will have 30 days after he’s sentenced on July 11 to file a notice of appealwhich just says he intends to appeal the caseand then six months to file a full appeal, meaning the appeals process might not have even gotten fully underway by the November election, let alone completed.

He’ll appeal the verdict first to an intermediate appellate court, the First Judicial Department of New York’s Appellate Division, and if that fails, he can then ask New York’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, to take up the case—followed by the U.S. Supreme Court, if necessary—though neither of those higher courts are obligated to hear the case.

The whole process is likely to take months or years to fully play out, NBC News legal analyst Danny Cevallo said Thursday, noting cases can take years in the Appellate Division alone—and while the nature of Trump’s case means “maybe it gets a closer look, maybe it moves along a little faster,” the process will ultimately still take “many months.”

Sounds like next week.

It is not executive privilege but immunity from being charged with criminal acts while in office.

It seems like SCOTUS releases their controversial rulings right before they leave town for the summer!
And I think they have 16 left??? Started with 19 today and did 3? Might have been 2.

They said they will work next Wed and Thur... but if they only do 3 a day I cannot imagine it would go after next week, into July

Or maybe the Trump one will be on Thur... Debate day?

UPDATE: Heard a bit ago they have 12 left and next week is the end. So looks like debate day will be the decision.... ???

Many of these were decided a while ago and went to their clerks for write ups to be released. so it is not hard to imagine them dumping 16 decisions all at once.

Any wagers on what SCOTUS' decision on Trump's absolute immunity will be? I'd bet the answer will be No, and that a "qualified immunity" decision will be rendered that doesn't stop Trump's prosecutions.

Not according to the questions asked during the hearing ....The biggest fool in the room was the DOJ Salesman. Roberts just issued a demand of Garland to provide why Bannon is denied due process especially since Garland has been demanded to appear on Contempt of Congress charges ......same thing Bannon is charged with ....

Re-reading the transcript, I don't see what you are seeing. Is there a particular question you view as a Justice tipping his/her hand on his/her leaning toward an absolute immunity ruling?

Reading transcript is not the same as hearing the questioning out loud. The DOJ Lawyer sounded like an idiot ......doesn't come out the same on the transcript ....Even the Liberal Justices found him to be outside of his level of competence .....Every news media outlook saw the same thing .....The manner of questioning and levels of sarchasm lose their luster when the written word is on paper ......

This ruling on Executive priveledge is the one in question right? The presidential documents?

Executive Order 13233

US presidential document
federalregister.gov/articles/2001/11/05/01-27917/further-implementation-of-the-presidential-records-act
Executive Order 13233 limited access to the records of former United States Presidents to a higher degree than the previous Order 12667, which it superseded. It was drafted by then White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales and issued by George W. Bush on November 1, 2001. Section 13 of Order 13233 revoked Executive Order 12667 which was issued by Ronald Reagan on January 18, 1989. Executive Order 13233 was partially struck down in October 2007. Wikipedia

Executive Order 13489 -- Presidential Records

Sec. 6. Revocation. Executive Order 13233 of November 1, 2001, is revoked.
BARACK OBAMA
THE WHITE HOUSE,
January 21, 2009

Sec. 4. Claim of Executive Privilege by Former President.
(a) Upon receipt of a claim of executive privilege by a living former President, the Archivist shall consult with the Attorney General (through the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel), the Counsel to the President, and such other executive agencies as the Archivist deems appropriate concerning the Archivist's determination as to whether to honor the former President's claim of privilege or instead to disclose the Presidential records notwithstanding the claim of privilege. Any determination under section 3 of this order that executive privilege shall not be invoked by the incumbent President shall not prejudice the Archivist's determination with respect to the former President's claim of privilege.
(b) In making the determination referred to in subsection (a) of this section, the Archivist shall abide by any instructions given him by the incumbent President or his designee unless otherwise directed by a final court order. The Archivist shall notify the incumbent and former Presidents of his determination at least 30 days prior to disclosure of the Presidential records, unless a shorter time period is required in the circumstances set forth in section 1270.44 of the NARA regulations. Copies of the notice for the incumbent President shall be delivered to the President (through the Counsel to the President) and the Attorney General (through the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel). The copy of the notice for the former President shall be delivered to the former President or his designated representative.

This is about being able to "disclose Presidential records" . I take that to mean, making them public?
And the former President can either agree or disagree with declassifying the documents, or go to court to challenge it.

I believe the argument Trump has is, that all the documents were already declassified and so he has executive priveledge to them as a former president. Whether they be classified or not he is the executive that determines classification or declassification.

NARA already has copies. They just don't want Trump to have them.
Which he has executive rights to because they are his documents while in office.

So why did Obama revoke executive order 13233 unless he wanted to protect his own ability to keep presidential records and to protect former presidents who had done the same?
But now that Trump is relying on that revocation they say it doesn't apply, (only to him btw)
And what other former president has ever had their residence raided by the government for having classified documents?
None, because they weren't worried about them disclosing truths that could put them in jail.

So where will SCOTUS come down on the decision?
Hmm..
I would hope the revoke the revocation and go back to EO 13233 and limit the availabilty anyone can remove from the WH that contains classified documents.

Like Trump says: If you don't like the laws that he used that was issued by others before him, then change them.
But you can't hold him guilty for applying the same rules to himself that others put in place.

Senators and Vice Presidents do not have Presidential privledges, which mean Joe is guilty by default, regardless if he willing turned them over or not, he never should of possessed them in the first place.
And make 8 million dollars off a book disclosing classified information.

Nothing to see her folks.. move along, lol

Hugs
